1 The declaration of Yahweh to my LordSit thou at my right hand, Until I make thy foes thy footstool.2 Thy sceptre of strength, will Yahweh extend out of Zion, Tread thou down, in the midst of thy foes.3 Thy people, will freely offer themselves, in the day of thine army,in the splendours of holiness, out of the womb of the dawn, To thee, the dew of thy youth.4 Yahweh, hath swornand will not repent, Thou,5 My Lord, on thy right hand,hath shatteredin the day of his angerkings;6 He will judge among the nationsfull of dead bodies! He hath shattered the head over a land far extended:7 Of the torrent in the way, will he drink;For this cause, will he lift up

1 Disse o Senhor ao meu Senhor: Assenta-te à minha mão direita, até que ponha os teus inimigos por escabelo dos teus pés. 2 O Senhor enviará o cetro da tua fortaleza desde Sião, dizendo: Domina no meio dos teus inimigos. 3 O teu povo se apresentará voluntariamente no dia do teu poder, com santos ornamentos; como vindo do próprio seio da alva, será o orvalho da tua mocidade.

4 Jurou o Senhor e não se arrependerá: Tu és um sacerdote eterno, segundo a ordem de Melquisedeque. 5 O Senhor, à tua direita, ferirá os reis no dia da sua ira. 6 Julgará entre as nações; enchê-las-á de cadáveres; ferirá os cabeças de grandes terras. 7 Pelo caminho, dessedentar-se-á no ribeiro e prosseguirá de cabeça erguida.
