1 El, Elohim, Yahweh, hath spoken, and culled the earth, From the rising of the sun, unto the going in thereof:2 Out of Zion the perfection of beauty, God, hath shone forth.3 Let our God come, and let him not keep silence! A firebefore him, shall devour, And, around him, hath it become exceeding tempestuous:4 He calleth, Unto the heavens above, And unto the earth, That he may judge his people.5 Gather yourselves unto meye my men of lovingkindness, Who have solemnised my covenant over sacrifice.6 Now have the heavens declared his righteousness, Because, God, is, about to judge. Selah.7 Hear, O my people, and I will speak, O Israel, and I will adjure thee, God, thine own God, I am:8 Not, for thy sacrifices, will I reprove thee, Nor for thine ascending-offerings, before me continually:9 I will not take out of thy housea bullock, Nor out of thy foldshe-goats;10 For, mine, is every wild-beast of the forest, The cattle on the mountains, in their thousands;11 I know every bird of the mountains, And, the moving things of the plain, are with me:12 If I were hungry, I would not tell thee, For, mine, is the world, and the fulness thereof.13 Will I eat the flesh of mighty oxen? Or, the blood of he-goats, will I drink?14 Sacrifice to God a thankoffering, And pay to the Most High thy vows;15 Call upon me, then, in the day of distress, I will deliver thee, that thou mayest glorify me.16 But, to the lawless one, God saith, What hast, thou, to do, to recount my statutes? Or that thou hast taken up my covenant upon thy mouth?17 Seeing that, thou, hast hated correction, And hast cast my words behind thee;18 If thou sawest a thief, then didst thou run with him,And, with adulterers, hath been thy chosen life;19 Thy mouth, hast thou thrust into wickedness, And, thy tongue, kept weaving deceit;20 Thou wouldst sit downAgainst thine own brother, wouldst thou speak, Against thine own mothers son, wouldst thou expose a fault:21 These things, hast thou done, and I have kept silence, Thou thoughtest that I should really be like thyself, I will convict thee, yea I will set in order before thine eyes.22 Understand this, I pray you, ye forgetters of GOD, Lest I tear in pieces, and there be none to deliver:23 He that sacrificeth a thankoffering, will glorify me,And will prepare a way by which I may show him the salvation of God.

1 O Deus poderoso, o Senhor, falou e chamou a terra desde o nascimento do sol até ao seu ocaso. 2 Desde Sião, a perfeição da formosura, resplandeceu Deus. 3 Virá o nosso Deus e não se calará; adiante dele um fogo irá consumindo, e haverá grande tormenta ao redor dele. 4 Do alto, chamará os céus e a terra, para julgar o seu povo. 5 Congregai os meus santos, aqueles que fizeram comigo um concerto com sacrifícios. 6 E os céus anunciarão a sua justiça, pois Deus mesmo é o Juiz. 7 Ouve, povo meu, e eu falarei; ó Israel, e eu, Deus, o teu Deus, protestarei contra ti. 8 Não te repreenderei pelos teus sacrifícios, ou holocaustos, de contínuo perante mim. 9 Da tua casa não tirarei bezerro nem bodes dos teus currais. 10 Porque meu é todo animal da selva e as alimárias sobre milhares de montanhas. 11 Conheço todas as aves dos montes; e minhas são todas as feras do campo. 12 Se eu tivesse fome, não to diria, pois meu é o mundo e a sua plenitude. 13 Comerei eu carne de touros? Ou beberei sangue de bodes? 14 Oferece a Deus sacrifício de louvor e paga ao Altíssimo os teus votos. 15 E invoca-me no dia da angústia; eu te livrarei, e tu me glorificarás.

16 Mas ao ímpio diz Deus: Que tens tu que recitar os meus estatutos e que tomar o meu concerto na tua boca, 17 pois aborreces a correção e lanças as minhas palavras para detrás de ti? 18 Quando vês o ladrão, consentes com ele; e tens a tua parte com adúlteros. 19 Soltas a tua boca para o mal, e a tua língua compõe o engano. 20 Assentas-te a falar contra teu irmão; falas mal contra o filho de tua mãe. 21 Estas coisas tens feito, e eu me calei; pensavas que era como tu; mas eu te arguirei, e, em sua ordem, tudo porei diante dos teus olhos.

22 Ouvi, pois, isto, vós que vos esqueceis de Deus; para que vos não faça em pedaços, sem haver quem vos livre. 23 Aquele que oferece sacrifício de louvor me glorificará; e àquele que bem ordena o seu caminho eu mostrarei a salvação de Deus.
