1 Of David. Maschil. Happy is he who has forgiveness for his wrongdoing, and whose sin is covered.
2 Happy is the man in whom the Lord sees no evil, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.

6 For this cause let every saint make his prayer to you at a time when you are near: then the overflowing of the great waters will not overtake him.
7 You are my safe and secret place; you will keep me from trouble; you will put songs of salvation on the lips of those who are round me. (Selah.)
8 I will give you knowledge, teaching you the way to go; my eye will be your guide.
9 Do not be like the horse or the ass, without sense; ...
10 The sinner will be full of trouble; but mercy will be round the man who has faith in the Lord.
11 Be glad in the Lord with joy, you upright men; give cries of joy, all you whose hearts are true.
1 Felizes aqueles cujas transgressões foram perdoadas,cujo pecado é coberto!
2 Felizes aqueles a quem o Senhor já não acusa de pecado, e cujo espírito foi limpo de engano!
4 Dia e noite a tua mão pesava sobre mim. O meu viver tornou-se como um charco seco durante o verão.
5 Até que te confessei os meus pecados,e deixei de encobrir a minha maldade. Disse para mim mesmo: Confessarei ao Senhor as minhas transgressões. E tudo me perdoaste! Desapareceu a minha culpa!
8 Eu te instruirei, diz o Senhor,e te ensinarei o melhor caminho a seguires na vida. Guiar-te-ei com os meus olhos.
9 Não sejas como um cavalo selvagem, ou como uma mula,que não têm entendimento,que precisam de ter um freio na boca para serem dominados.
10 Muitas tristezas têm os maus. Mas os que confiam no Senhorsão permanentemente rodeados pelo seu amor.
11 Alegrem-se no Senhor,encham-se de alegria aqueles que se abrigam com a sua justiça; cantem de alegria os que se conduzem com rectidão.
