2 \54:1\When the Ziphites came and said to Saul, Is not David keeping himself secret among us?

3 \54:1\Let your name be my salvation, O God; let my cause be judged by your strength.

4 \54:2\Let my prayer come before you, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth.

5 \54:3\For men who are going after me have come out against me, violent men are purposing to take my soul; they have not put God before their eyes. (Selah.)

6 \54:4\See, God is my helper: the Lord is the great supporter of my soul.

7 \54:5\Let the evil works of my haters come back on them again; let them be cut off by your good faith.

8 \54:6\Freely will I make my offerings to you; I will give praise to your name, O Lord, for it is good.

9 \54:7\Because it has been my saviour from all my trouble; and my eyes have seen the punishment of my haters.

2 Ouve a minha oração; inclina os teus ouvidos ao que vou dizer.

3 Porque gente com quem eu nada tenho a ver se levantou contra mim, gente violenta e cruel que quer tirar-me a vida, e que não se preocupa sequer com o que Deus pensa sobre isso.

5 Ele anulará o mal dos que andam à espreita para darem cabo de mim. Segundo o que tu próprio prometeste, Senhor, tu os destruirás.

6 Com alegria te trago os meus sacrifícios, e te louvarei, Senhor, porque és bom,

7 porque me livraste das minhas aflições e vi cumprido o meu desejo em relação aos meus adversários.
