Io alzo gli occhi ai monti… Donde mi verrà l’aiuto?2 Il mio aiuto vien dall’Eterno che ha fatto il cielo e la terra.3 Egli non permetterà che il tuo piè vacilli; colui che ti protegge non sonnecchierà.4 Ecco, colui che protegge Israele non sonnecchierà né dormirà.5 L’Eterno è colui che ti protegge; l’Eterno è la tua ombra; egli sta alla tua destra.6 Di giorno il sole non ti colpirà, né la luna di notte.7 L’Eterno ti proteggerà da ogni male, egli proteggerà l’anima tua.8 L’Eterno proteggerà il tuo uscire e il tuo entrare da ora in eterno.

2 My help comes from Yahweh,

who made heaven and earth.

3 He will not allow your foot to be moved.

He who keeps you will not slumber.

4 Behold, he who keeps Israel

will neither slumber nor sleep.

5 Yahweh is your keeper.

Yahweh is your shade on your right hand.

6 The sun will not harm you by day,

nor the moon by night.

7 Yahweh will keep you from all evil.

He will keep your soul.

8 Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in,

from this time forward, and forever more.
