1 Aleluia!

Na reunião do povo eu louvarei

a Deus, o Senhor,

com todo o meu coração,

junto com os que lhe obedecem.

2 Como são maravilhosas as coisas

que ele faz!

Todos os que se alegram por causa delas

querem entendê-las.

3 Em tudo o que ele faz,

há glória e grandeza;

a sua fidelidade é eterna.

4 O Senhor não nos deixa esquecer

dos seus feitos maravilhosos;

ele é bom e tem muita misericórdia.

5 Ele dá alimento aos que o temem

e nunca esquece a sua aliança.

6 O Senhor mostrou o seu poder

ao povo de Israel

quando lhe deu as terras de outras nações.

7 Ele é fiel e justo em tudo o que faz;

todos os seus mandamentos

merecem confiança.

8 Eles permanecem para sempre,

pois se baseiam na verdade

e na honestidade.

9 Deus pôs o seu povo em liberdade

e fez com ele uma aliança eterna.

Ele é santo e poderoso.

10 Para ser sábio, é preciso primeiro

temer a Deus, o Senhor.

Ele dá compreensão aos que obedecem

aos seus mandamentos.

Que o Senhor seja louvado para sempre!

1 Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.

2 The works of the LORD are great, sought out by all them that have pleasure in them.

3 His work is honorable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever.

4 He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD is gracious and full of compassion.

5 He hath given food to them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant.

6 He hath shown his people the power of his works, that he may give them the heritage of the heathen.

7 The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure.

8 They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.

9 He sent redemption to his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name.

10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.
