pois em ti eu tenho segurança!

"Tu és o meu Senhor;
tudo o que tenho de bom vem de ti."
3 Como são admiráveis as pessoas
que se dedicam a Deus!
O meu maior prazer é estar
na companhia delas.
4 Aqueles que correm atrás
de outros deuses
trazem muito sofrimento para si mesmos.
Eu não tomarei parte
nas suas ofertas de sangue,
nem adorarei os seus deuses.
5 Tu, ó Senhor Deus,
és tudo o que tenho.
O meu futuro está nas tuas mãos;
tu diriges a minha vida.
6 Como são boas as bênçãos
que me dás!
Como são maravilhosas!
7 Eu louvo a Deus, o Senhor,
pois ele é o meu conselheiro,
e durante a noite
a minha consciência me avisa.
8 Estou certo de que o Senhor
está sempre comigo;
ele está ao meu lado direito,
e nada pode me abalar.
9 Por isso o meu coração está feliz
e alegre,
e eu, um ser mortal, me sinto bem seguro,
10 porque tu, ó Deus, me proteges
do poder da morte.
Eu tenho te servido fielmente,
e por isso não deixarás que eu desça
ao mundo dos mortos.
11 Tu me mostras o caminho
que leva à vida.
A tua presença me enche de alegria
e me traz felicidade para sempre.

2 O my soul, thou hast said to the LORD, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee;
3 But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.
4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink-offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take their names into my lips.
5 The LORD is the portion of my inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.
6 The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; yes, I have a goodly heritage.
7 I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night season.
8 I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thy Holy One to see corruption.
11 Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand are pleasures for evermore.
