1 Ó Senhor Deus,
declara que estou inocente,
pois faço o que é certo
e confio inteiramente em ti.
2 Examina-me e põe-me à prova,
ó Senhor;
julga os meus desejos
e os meus pensamentos,
3 pois o teu amor me guia,
e a tua verdade sempre me orienta.
4 Eu não ando na companhia
de gente falsa
e não vivo com hipócritas.
5 Não me ajunto com os perversos
e não ando com os maus.
6 Ó Senhor Deus, lavo as mãos
para mostrar que estou inocente.
Ando em volta do teu altar
junto com os que te adoram,
7 cantando um hino de gratidão
e falando das tuas obras
maravilhosas.
8 Ó Senhor Deus,
eu amo a casa onde vives,
o lugar onde está presente
a tua glória.
9 Não me destruas junto com os que
não querem saber de ti;
livra-me do castigo
que recebem os assassinos —
10 aqueles que vivem fazendo o mal
e que estão sempre prontos
para receber suborno.
11 Eu, porém, faço o que é certo.
Tem compaixão de mim e salva-me.
12 Estou livre de todos os perigos;
nas reuniões de adoração,
eu louvarei a Deus, o Senhor.

1 A Psalm of David. Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in my integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide.2 Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.3 For thy loving-kindness is before my eyes: and I have walked in thy truth.4 I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers.5 I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.6 I will wash my hands in innocence: so will I compass thy altar, O LORD:7 That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.8 LORD, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thy honor dwelleth.9 Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men:10 In whose hands is mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes.11 But as for me, I will walk in my integrity: redeem me, and be merciful to me.12 My foot standeth in an even place: in the congregations will I bless the LORD.
