1 Que todos os povos louvem a Deus
com gritos de alegria!
2 Cantem hinos de louvor a ele;
ofereçam a ele louvores gloriosos.
3 Digam isto a Deus:
"Como são espantosas
as coisas que fazes!
O teu poder é tão grande,
que os teus inimigos ficam com medo
e se curvam diante de ti.
4 O mundo inteiro te adora
e canta louvores a ti;
todos cantam hinos em tua honra."
5 Venham e vejam o que Deus tem feito,
vejam com espanto as coisas que ele
tem feito em favor das pessoas.
6 Ele mudou o mar em terra seca,
e os nossos antepassados
atravessaram o rio a pé.
Ali nos alegramos com o que ele fez.
7 Pelo seu poder, ele governa
para sempre,
e os seus olhos vigiam as nações.
Que ninguém se revolte contra Deus!
8 Que todas as nações
louvem o nosso Deus!
Que cantem hinos de louvor em voz alta!
9 Ele nos tem mantido vivos
e não nos tem deixado cair.
10 Ó Deus, tu nos puseste à prova.
Como a prata é provada pelo fogo,
assim nos provaste.
11 Tu nos deixaste cair numa armadilha
e colocaste cargas pesadas
nas nossas costas.
12 Deixaste que os nossos inimigos
nos pisassem.
Passamos pelo fogo e pela água,
mas agora nos trouxeste
para um lugar seguro.
13 Levarei à tua casa os sacrifícios
que devem ser
completamente queimados;
eu te darei o que te prometi.
14 Aquilo que prometi,
quando estava em aflição,
isso mesmo te darei.
15 Levarei ovelhas
para serem queimadas no altar;
oferecerei sacrifícios de touros
e cabritos,
e a fumaça subirá até o céu.
16 Todos vocês que temem a Deus,
venham e escutem,
e eu contarei
o que ele tem feito por mim.
17 Eu gritei, pedindo a sua ajuda;
então o louvei com hinos.
18 Mas, se eu tivesse guardado
maus pensamentos no coração,
o Senhor não teria me ouvido.
19 Porém Deus, de fato, me ouviu
e respondeu à minha oração.
20 Eu louvo a Deus
porque ele não deixou de ouvir
a minha oração
e nunca me negou o seu amor.

1 To the chief Musician, A Song or Psalm. Make a joyful noise to God, all ye lands:2 Sing forth the honor of his name: make his praise glorious.3 Say to God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thy enemies submit themselves to thee.4 All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing to thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.5 Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing towards the children of men.6 He turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on foot: there we rejoiced in him.7 He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.8 O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard:9 Who holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.10 For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.11 Thou hast brought us into the net; thou hast laid affliction upon our loins.12 Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.13 I will go into thy house with burnt-offerings: I will pay thee my vows,14 Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.15 I will offer to thee burnt-sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah.16 Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.17 I cried to him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:19 But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.20 Blessed be God, who hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.
