Salmos 96

1 O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth.

2 Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.

3 Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.

4 For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.

5 For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.

6 Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.

7 Give unto the LORD, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength.

8 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts.*96.8 due…: Heb. of his name

10 Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.

12 Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice

13 Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.

Psaume prophétique de l’établissement de l’Evangile parmi tous les peuples du monde.

1 Chantez à l’Eternel un nouveau cantique ; vous toute la terre chantez à l’Eternel. 2 Chantez à l’Eternel, bénissez son Nom, prêchez de jour en jour sa délivrance. 3 Racontez sa gloire parmi les nations, et ses merveilles parmi tous les peuples. 4 Car l’Eternel est grand, et digne d’être loué ; il est redoutable par-dessus tous les dieux ; 5 Car tous les dieux des peuples ne sont que des idoles ; mais l’Eternel a fait les cieux. 6 La majesté et la magnificence marchent devant lui ; la force et l’excellence sont dans son sanctuaire. 7 Familles des peuples rendez à l’Eternel, rendez à l’Eternel la gloire et la force. 8 Rendez à l’Eternel la gloire due à son Nom ; apportez l’oblation, et entrez dans ses parvis. 9 Prosternez-vous devant l’Eternel avec une sainte magnificence ; vous tous les habitants de la terre tremblez tout étonnés, à cause de la présence de sa face. 10 Dites parmi les nations : l’Eternel règne ; même la terre habitable est affermie, et elle ne sera point ébranlée ; il jugera les peuples en équité. 11 Que les cieux se réjouissent, et que la terre s’égaye ! Que la mer et ce qui est contenu en elle bruie ! 12 Que les champs s’égayent, avec tout ce qui est en eux. Alors tous les arbres de la forêt chanteront de joie, 13 Au-devant de l’Eternel, parce qu’il vient, parce qu’il vient pour juger la terre ; il jugera en justice le monde habitable, et les peuples selon sa fidélité.
