Salmos 98

A Psalm.

1 O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.

2 The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.*98.2 openly…: or, revealed

3 He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

4 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

5 Sing unto the LORD with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm.

6 With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the LORD, the King.

7 Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.*98.7 the fulness…: or, all it containeth

8 Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together

9 Before the LORD; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.

Exaltation de la gloire du Messie.

1 Psaume. Chantez à l’Eternel un nouveau Cantique ; car il a fait des choses merveilleuses ; sa droite et le bras de sa Sainteté l’ont délivré. 2 L’Eternel a fait connaître sa délivrance, il a révélé sa justice devant les yeux des nations. 3 Il s’est souvenu de sa gratuité et de sa fidélité envers la maison d’Israël ; tous les bouts de la terre ont vu la délivrance de notre Dieu. 4 Vous tous habitants de la terre, jetez des cris de réjouissance à l’Eternel, faites retentir vos cris, chantez de joie, et psalmodiez. 5 Psalmodiez à l’Eternel avec la harpe, avec la harpe et avec une voix mélodieuse. 6 Jetez des cris de réjouissance avec les trompettes et le son du cor devant le Roi, l’Eternel. 7 Que la mer bruie, avec tout ce qu’elle contient, et que la terre et ceux qui y habitent fassent éclater leurs cris. 8 Que les fleuves frappent des mains, et que les montagnes chantent de joie, 9 Au-devant de l’Eternel ; car il vient pour juger la terre ; il jugera en justice le monde habitable, et les peuples en équité.
