1 Έπειτα ο άντρας μ’ έβγαλε στην εξωτερική αυλή, και μ’ έφερε σε ένα οικοδόμημα με επιμέρους δωμάτια, το οποίο βρισκόταν απέναντι από τον ελεύθερο χώρο και βόρεια από το ξεχωριστό οικοδόμημα.*ξεχωριστό οικοδόμημα. Εννοείται το κτίριο που αναφέρεται εις κεφ. 41:12.2 Το μήκος της βορινής πλευράς, όπου βρίσκονταν οι είσοδοι, ήταν εκατό πήχεις και το πλάτος του πενήντα. 3 Συνόρευε με τον ελεύθερο χώρο, που είχε πλάτος είκοσι πήχεις και ανήκε στον εσωτερική αυλή και με το λιθόστρωτο, που ανήκε στην εξωτερική αυλή. Υψωνόταν κλιμακωτά σε τρεις ορόφους. 4 Μπροστά στο παραοικοδόμημα υπήρχε ένας διάδρομος, που είχε δέκα πήχεις πλάτος και από την εσωτερική πλευρά υπήρχε άλλος διάδρομος, που είχε μήκος εκατό πήχεις.*μήκος εκατό πήχεις, κατά τους Ο΄. Το εβρ. έχει «έναν πήχυ πλάτος». Οι θύρες όμως της εισόδου των δωματίων έβλεπαν στο βορρά. 5 Τα δωμάτια του πάνω ορόφου ήταν στενότερα, γιατί λόγω της κλιμακωτής μορφής του κτιρίου, ο μεσαίος και ο κάτω όροφος ήταν πλατύτεροι. 6 Αυτά ήταν σε τρεις ορόφους και δεν είχαν στύλους σαν εκείνους της εξωτερικής αυλής, και γι’ αυτό τα ψηλότερα δωμάτια στένευαν περισσότερο απ’ ό,τι τα χαμηλότερα και τα μεσαία. 7 Προς την πλευρά της εξωτερικής αυλής, απέναντι στο παραοικοδόμημα, υπήρχε τοίχος που εκτεινόταν σε μήκος πενήντα πήχεων, 8 γιατί το μήκος των δωματίων που ανήκαν στην εξωτερική αυλή ήταν πενήντα πήχεις, ενώ το μήκος ολόκληρου του τοίχου ήταν εκατό πήχεις. 9 Η είσοδος στα κάτω δωμάτια, γινόταν από τ’ ανατολικά, όπως έρχεται κανείς από την εξωτερική αυλή.

10 Προς το νότο συνόρευε με τον τοίχο της εξωτερικής αυλής άλλο ένα κτίριο με επιμέρους δωμάτια απέναντι από τον ελεύθερο χώρο και το ξεχωριστό οικοδόμημα. 11 Μπροστά του ήταν ένας διάδρομος με δωμάτια όμοια μ’ εκείνα του παραοικοδομήματος της βόρειας πλευράς, με το ίδιο μήκος και πλάτος, με τις ίδιες εξόδους, διαρρυθμίσεις και εισόδους, 12 μόνο που αυτές ήταν στραμμένες προς το νότο. Υπήρχε επίσης είσοδος στην αρχή του διαδρόμου μπροστά στον πέτρινο διαχωριστικό τοίχο, καθώς πλησίαζε κανείς και έμπαινε από τ’ ανατολικά.

13 Ο άνθρωπος μου είπε: «Τα παραοικοδομήματα που βλέπουν στο βορρά και στο νότο και που είναι μπροστά στον ελεύθερο χώρο, είναι άγια. Οι ιερείς οι οποίοι μπορούν να πλησιάζουν τον Κύριο, θα τρώνε τις αγιότατες προσφορές μέσα σ’ αυτούς τους χώρους. Εκεί θα αποθηκεύονται οι αγιότατες προσφορές, δηλαδή οι προσφορές των σιτηρών για τη θυσία εξιλέωσης και για τη θυσία επανόρθωσης, γιατί ο τόπος είναι άγιος. 14 Όταν οι ιερείς μπαίνουν εκεί, δε θα βγαίνουν από τον άγιο τόπο στην εξωτερική αυλή, αν πρώτα δεν αφήσουν εκεί τις στολές με τις οποίες τέλεσαν την ιερουργία. Θα βάζουν άλλα ρούχα, πριν έρθουν στον τόπο όπου στέκεται ο λαός, γιατί οι στολές είναι ιερές».

15 Όταν τέλειωσε το μέτρημα του εσωτερικού ναού, ο άντρας μ’ έβγαλε έξω μέσα από την ανατολική πύλη κι άρχισε να μετράει τον περίγυρο του ναού. 16 Στην αρχή μέτρησε με το καλαμένιο μέτρο την ανατολική πλευρά και βρήκε ότι ήταν πεντακόσιοι πήχεις.*πήχεις. Εδώ και στους στ. 17, 18, 19 το εβρ. έχει «καλαμένιο μέτρο» το οποίο είχε μήκος έναν πήχυ και όχι έξι πήχεις όπως στο Ιεζ. 40:5.17 Έπειτα στράφηκε και μέτρησε τη βόρεια πλευρά με το καλαμένιο μέτρο και βρέθηκε ότι ήταν πεντακόσιοι πήχεις. 18 Στη συνέχεια στράφηκε προς τη νότια πλευρά και τη μέτρησε με το καλαμένιο μέτρο και ήταν πεντακόσιοι πήχεις. 19 Τέλος στράφηκε προς τη δυτική πλευρά και τη μέτρησε επίσης με το καλαμένιο μέτρο και ήταν πεντακόσιοι πήχεις. 20 Μέτρησε το οικοδόμημα κι από τις τέσσερις πλευρές καθώς και το τείχος που ήταν γύρω του, και ήταν πεντακόσιους πήχεις μακρύ και πεντακόσιους πήχεις πλατύ. Αυτό χρησίμευε για να χωρίζει το άγιο τμήμα από το κοσμικό.

1 Then he brought me forth into the utter court, the way toward the north: and he brought me into the chamber that was over against the separate place, and which was before the building toward the north. 2 Before the length of an hundred cubits was the north door, and the breadth was fifty cubits. 3 Over against the twenty cubits which were for the inner court, and over against the pavement which was for the utter court, was gallery against gallery in three stories. 4 And before the chambers was a walk of ten cubits breadth inward, a way of one cubit; and their doors toward the north. 5 Now the upper chambers were shorter: for the galleries were higher than these, than the lower, and than the middlemost of the building.*42.5 were higher…: or, did eat of these*42.5 than the lower…: or, and the building consisted of the lower and the middlemost 6 For they were in three stories, but had not pillars as the pillars of the courts: therefore the building was straitened more than the lowest and the middlemost from the ground. 7 And the wall that was without over against the chambers, toward the utter court on the forepart of the chambers, the length thereof was fifty cubits. 8 For the length of the chambers that were in the utter court was fifty cubits: and, lo, before the temple were an hundred cubits. 9 And from under these chambers was the entry on the east side, as one goeth into them from the utter court.*42.9 from under: or, from the place*42.9 the entry: or, he that brought me*42.9 as…: or, as he came 10 The chambers were in the thickness of the wall of the court toward the east, over against the separate place, and over against the building. 11 And the way before them was like the appearance of the chambers which were toward the north, as long as they, and as broad as they: and all their goings out were both according to their fashions, and according to their doors. 12 And according to the doors of the chambers that were toward the south was a door in the head of the way, even the way directly before the wall toward the east, as one entereth into them.

13 Then said he unto me, The north chambers and the south chambers, which are before the separate place, they be holy chambers, where the priests that approach unto the LORD shall eat the most holy things: there shall they lay the most holy things, and the meat offering, and the sin offering, and the trespass offering; for the place is holy. 14 When the priests enter therein, then shall they not go out of the holy place into the utter court, but there they shall lay their garments wherein they minister; for they are holy; and shall put on other garments, and shall approach to those things which are for the people.

15 Now when he had made an end of measuring the inner house, he brought me forth toward the gate whose prospect is toward the east, and measured it round about. 16 He measured the east side with the measuring reed, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed round about.*42.16 side: Heb. wind 17 He measured the north side, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed round about. 18 He measured the south side, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed.

19 He turned about to the west side, and measured five hundred reeds with the measuring reed. 20 He measured it by the four sides: it had a wall round about, five hundred reeds long, and five hundred broad, to make a separation between the sanctuary and the profane place.
