1 Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith Jehovah. 2 Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thy habitations; spare not: lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes. 3 For thou shalt spread abroad on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall possess the nations, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.

4 Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth; and the reproach of thy widowhood shalt thou remember no more. 5 For thy Maker is thy husband; Jehovah of hosts is his name: and the Holy One of Israel is thy Redeemer; the God of the whole earth shall he be called. 6 For Jehovah hath called thee as a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit, even a wife of youth, when she is cast off, saith thy God. 7 For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee. 8 In overflowing wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting lovingkindness will I have mercy on thee, saith Jehovah thy Redeemer.

9 For this is as the waters of Noah unto me; for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah shall no more go over the earth, so have I sworn that I will not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee. 10 For the mountains may depart, and the hills be removed; but my lovingkindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall my covenant of peace be removed, saith Jehovah that hath mercy on thee.

11 O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will set thy stones in fair colors, and lay thy foundations with sapphires. 12 And I will make thy pinnacles of rubies, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy border of precious stones. 13 And all thy children shall be taught of Jehovah; and great shall be the peace of thy children. 14 In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression, for thou shalt not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near thee. 15 Behold, they may gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall because of thee. 16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the fire of coals, and bringeth forth a weapon for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. 17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of Jehovah, and their righteousness which is of me, saith Jehovah.

Căci*1 Sam. 2:5. fiii celei lăsate de bărbat vor fi mai mulți decât fiii celei măritate", zice Domnul. 2 „Lărgește*Cap. 49:19,20. locul cortului tău și întinde învelitoarele locuinței tale! Nu te opri! Lungește-ți funiile și întărește-ți țărușii! 3 Căci te vei întinde la dreapta și la stânga, sămânța*Cap. 55:5;61:9. ta va cotropi neamurile și va locui cetățile pustii. 4 Nu te teme, căci nu vei rămâne de rușine; nu roși, căci nu vei fi acoperită de rușine, ci vei uita și rușinea tinereții tale și nu-ți vei mai aduce aminte de văduvia ta, 5 căci*Ier. 3:14. Făcătorul tău este bărbatul tău: Domnul*Luca 1:32. este Numele Lui, și Răscumpărătorul tău este Sfântul lui Israel. El Se numește Dumnezeul*Zah. 14:9.Rom. 3:29. întregului pământ, 6 căci Domnul te*Cap. 62:4. cheamă înapoi ca pe o femeie părăsită și cu inima întristată, ca pe o nevastă din tinerețe care a fost izgonită", zice Dumnezeul tău. 7 „Câteva*Ps. 30:5. Cap. 26:20;60:10.2 Cor. 4:17. clipe te părăsisem, dar*Cap. 55:3.Ier. 31:3. te voi primi înapoi cu mare dragoste. 8 Într-o izbucnire de mânie, Îmi ascunsesem o clipă Fața de tine, dar Mă voi îndura de tine cu o dragoste veșnică", zice Domnul, Răscumpărătorul tău. 9 „Și lucrul acesta va fi pentru Mine ca și cu apele lui Noe: după cum jurasem că apele lui Noe*Gen. 8:21;9:11. Cap. 55:11.Ier. 31:35,36. nu vor mai veni pe pământ, tot așa jur că nu Mă voi mai mânia pe tine și nu te voi mai mustra. 10 Pot să se mute*Ps. 46:2. Cap. 51:6.Mat. 5:18. munții, pot să se clatine dealurile, dar*Ps. 89:33,34. dragostea Mea nu se va muta de la tine și legământul Meu de pace nu se va clătina", zice Domnul, care are milă de tine. 11 „Nenorocito, bătuto de furtună și nemângâiato! Iată, îți voi împodobi*1 Cron. 29:2.Apoc. 21:18. pietrele scumpe cu antimoniu și-ți voi da temelii de safir. 12 Îți voi face crestele zidurilor de rubin, porțile de pietre scumpe și tot ocolul de nestemate. 13 Toți fiii tăi vor fi ucenici*Cap. 11:9.Ier. 31:34.Ioan 6:45.1 Cor. 2:10.1 Tes. 4:9.1 Ioan 2:20. ai Domnului și mare*Ps. 119:165. va fi propășirea fiilor tăi. 14 Vei fi întărită prin neprihănire. Izgonește neliniștea, căci n-ai nimic de temut, și spaima, căci nu se va apropia de tine. 15 Dacă se urzesc uneltiri, nu vin de la Mine; oricine se va uni împotriva ta va cădea sub puterea ta. 16 Iată, Eu am făcut pe meșterul care suflă cărbunii în foc și face o armă după meșteșugul lui. Dar tot Eu am făcut și pe nimicitor ca s-o sfărâme. 17 Orice armă făurită împotriva ta va fi fără putere și, pe orice limbă care se va ridica la judecată împotriva ta, o vei osândi. Aceasta este moștenirea robilor Domnului, așa*Cap. 45:24,25. este mântuirea care le vine de la Mine", zice Domnul.
