1 This is the book of Adam’s generations. In the day that God*GodHebrew: Elohim created man, in the likeness of God*GodHebrew: Elohim made he him. 2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created. 3 And Adam lived a hundred and thirty years, and begot a son in his likeness, after his image, and called his name Seth. 4 And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years; and he begot sons and daughters. 5 And all the days of Adam that he lived were nine hundred and thirty years; and he died.

6 And Seth lived a hundred and five years, and begot Enosh. 7 And Seth lived after he had begotten Enosh eight hundred and seven years, and begot sons and daughters. 8 And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years; and he died. 9 And Enosh lived ninety years, and begot Cainan. 10 And Enosh lived after he had begotten Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years, and begot sons and daughters. 11 And all the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years; and he died. 12 And Cainan lived seventy years, and begot Mahalaleel. 13 And Cainan lived after he had begotten Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years, and begot sons and daughters. 14 And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years; and he died. 15 And Mahalaleel lived sixty-five years, and begot Jared. 16 And Mahalaleel lived after he had begotten Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and begot sons and daughters. 17 And all the days of Mahalaleel were eight hundred and ninety-five years; and he died. 18 And Jared lived a hundred and sixty-two years, and begot Enoch. 19 And Jared lived after he had begotten Enoch eight hundred years, and begot sons and daughters. 20 And all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years; and he died.

21 And Enoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Methushelah. 22 And Enoch walked with God*GodHebrew: Elohim after he had begotten Methushelah three hundred years, and begot sons and daughters. 23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. 24 And Enoch walked with God*GodHebrew: Elohim and he was not, for God*GodHebrew: Elohim took him.

25 And Methushelah lived a hundred and eighty-seven years, and begot Lemech. 26 And Methushelah lived after he had begotten Lemech seven hundred and eighty-two years, and begot sons and daughters. 27 And all the days of Methushelah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years; and he died.

28 And Lemech lived a hundred and eighty-two years, and begot a son. 29 And he called his name Noah, saying, This one shall comfort us concerning our work and concerning the toil of our hands, because of the ground which Jehovah has cursed. 30 And Lemech lived after he had begotten Noah five hundred and ninety-five years, and begot sons and daughters. 31 And all the days of Lemech were seven hundred and seventy-seven years; and he died. 32 And Noah was five hundred years old, and Noah begot Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

În ziua când a făcut Dumnezeu pe om, l-a făcut după asemănarea*Cap. 1:26.Efes. 4:24.Col. 3:10. lui Dumnezeu. 2 I-a făcut parte bărbătească*Cap. 1:27. și parte femeiască, i-a binecuvântat și le-a dat numele de „om" în ziua când au fost făcuți. 3 La vârsta de o sută treizeci de ani, Adam a născut un fiu după chipul și asemănarea lui și i-a pus*Cap. 4:25. numele Set. 4 După nașterea lui Set, Adam*1 Cron. 1:1. a trăit opt sute de ani și a născut*Cap. 1:28. fii și fiice. 5 Toate zilele pe care le-a trăit Adam au fost de nouă sute treizeci de ani, apoi*Cap. 3:19.Evr. 9:27. a murit. 6 La vârsta de o sută cinci ani, Set a născut*Cap. 4:26. pe Enos. 7 După nașterea lui Enos, Set a mai trăit opt sute șapte ani și a născut fii și fiice. 8 Toate zilele lui Set au fost de nouă sute doisprezece ani, apoi a murit. 9 La vârsta de nouăzeci de ani, Enos a născut pe Cainan. 10 După nașterea lui Cainan, Enos a mai trăit opt sute cincisprezece ani și a născut fii și fiice. 11 Toate zilele lui Enos au fost de nouă sute cinci ani, apoi a murit. 12 La vârsta de șaptezeci de ani, Cainan a născut pe Mahalaleel. 13 După nașterea lui Mahalaleel, Cainan a mai trăit opt sute patruzeci de ani și a născut fii și fiice. 14 Toate zilele lui Cainan au fost de nouă sute zece ani, apoi a murit. 15 La vârsta de șaizeci și cinci de ani, Mahalaleel a născut pe Iared. 16 După nașterea lui Iared, Mahalaleel a mai trăit opt sute treizeci de ani și a născut fii și fiice. 17 Toate zilele lui Mahalaleel au fost de opt sute nouăzeci și cinci de ani, apoi a murit. 18 La vârsta de o sută șaizeci și doi de ani, Iared a născut pe Enoh*Iuda 14,15.. 19 După nașterea lui Enoh, Iared a mai trăit opt sute de ani și a născut fii și fiice. 20 Toate zilele lui Iared au fost de nouă sute șaizeci și doi de ani, apoi a murit. 21 La vârsta de șaizeci și cinci de ani, Enoh a născut pe Metusala. 22 După nașterea lui Metusala, Enoh a umblat*Cap. 6:9;17:1;24:40.2 Împ. 20:3.Ps. 16:8;116:9;128:1.Mica 6:8.Mal. 2:6. cu Dumnezeu trei sute de ani și a născut fii și fiice. 23 Toate zilele lui Enoh au fost trei sute șaizeci și cinci de ani. 24 Enoh*2 Împ. 2:11.Evr. 11:5. a umblat cu Dumnezeu, apoi nu s-a mai văzut, pentru că l-a luat Dumnezeu. 25 La vârsta de o sută optzeci și șapte de ani, Metusala a născut pe Lameh. 26 După nașterea lui Lameh, Metusala a mai trăit șapte sute optzeci și doi de ani și a născut fii și fiice. 27 Toate zilele lui Metusala au fost de nouă sute șaizeci și nouă de ani, apoi a murit. 28 La vârsta de o sută optzeci și doi de ani, Lameh a născut un fiu. 29 El i-a pus numele Noe*5:29 Adică: Mângâiere., zicând: „Acesta ne va mângâia pentru osteneala și truda mâinilor noastre, care vin din acest pământ, pe care l-a blestemat*Cap. 3:17;4:11. Domnul." 30 După nașterea lui Noe, Lameh a mai trăit cinci sute nouăzeci și cinci de ani și a născut fii și fiice. 31 Toate zilele lui Lameh au fost de șapte sute șaptezeci și șapte de ani, apoi a murit. 32 Noe, la vârsta de cinci sute de ani, a născut pe Sem*Cap. 6:10., Ham și Iafet*Cap. 10:21..
