Salmos 96

1 Cantem ao Senhor um novo cântico;

cantem ao Senhor, todos os habitantes da terra!

2 Cantem ao Senhor, bendigam o seu nome;

proclamem a sua salvação dia após dia!

3 Anunciem a sua glória entre as nações,

os seus feitos maravilhosos entre todos os povos!

4 Porque o Senhor é grande e digno de todo o louvor,

mais temível do que todos os deuses!

5 Pois todos os deuses das nações não passam de ídolos,

mas o Senhor fez os céus.

6 Majestade e esplendor estão diante dele;

poder e beleza, no seu santuário.

7 Deem ao Senhor, ó famílias das nações,

deem ao Senhor glória e poder!

8 Deem ao Senhor a glória devida ao seu nome!

Tragam uma oferta e entrem nos seus átrios!

9 Adorem ao Senhor no esplendor da sua santidade!

Tremam diante dele todos os habitantes da terra!

10 Digam entre as nações: "O Senhor reina!".

Por isso, firme está o mundo e não se abalará;

ele julgará os povos com equidade.

11 Regozijem-se os céus, e exulte a terra!

Ressoe o mar e tudo o que nele existe!

12 Regozijem-se os campos e tudo o que neles há!

Cantem de alegria todas as árvores da floresta!

13 Cantem diante do Senhor, porque ele vem,

vem julgar a terra!

Julgará o mundo com justiça

e os povos com a sua fidelidade!

1 Oh sing unto Jehovah a new song:

Sing unto Jehovah, all the earth.

2 Sing unto Jehovah, bless his name;

Show forth his salvation from day to day.

3 Declare his glory among the nations,

His marvellous works among all the peoples.

4 For great is Jehovah, and greatly to be praised:

He is to be feared above all gods.

5 For all the gods of the peoples are idols;

But Jehovah made the heavens.

6 Honor and majesty are before him:

Strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.

7 Ascribe unto Jehovah, ye kindreds of the peoples,

Ascribe unto Jehovah glory and strength.

8 Ascribe unto Jehovah the glory due unto his name:

Bring an offering, and come into his courts.

9 Oh worship Jehovah in holy array:

Tremble before him, all the earth.

10 Say among the nations, Jehovah reigneth:

The world also is established that it cannot be moved:

He will judge the peoples with equity.

11 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice;

Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof;

12 Let the field exult, and all that is therein;

Then shall all the trees of the wood sing for joy

13 Before Jehovah; for he cometh,

For he cometh to judge the earth:

He will judge the world with righteousness,

And the peoples with his truth.
