Ezequiel 22

Descrição das abominações de Jerusalém

1 Demais, veio a mim a palavra de Jeová, dizendo: 2 Tu, filho do homem, acaso, *Ez 20.4;23.36julgarás, sim, julgarás a *Ez 9.9;24.6-9;Os 4.2;Na 3.1cidade sanguinolenta? *Ez 16.2;20.4Faze-lhe, pois, conhecer todas as suas abominações. 3 Dirás: Assim diz o Senhor Jeová: Uma cidade *Ez 22.6,27;Ez 23.37,45;Sf 3.3que derrama sangue dentro de si para que venha o seu tempo, e que faz ídolos contra si mesmo para se contaminar! 4 Pelo teu sangue que derramaste, te fazes *Ez 24.7-8;2Rs 21.16culpada; e, pelos teus ídolos que fabricaste, estás contaminada; e fizeste avizinhar *Ez 7.2-3,7;21.25os teus dias e és chegada até os teus anos. Por isso, eu te fiz o *Ez 5.14-15;16.57;Sl 44.13-14opróbrio das nações e o escárnio de todos os países. 5 Os que estão perto e os que estão longe de ti escarnecerão de ti, ó infame e cheia de *Is 22.2tumultos.

6 Eis que os *Ez 22.27;Is 1.23príncipes de Israel, cada um conforme o seu poder, têm estado no meio de ti, para *Ez 22.3,13derramarem o sangue. 7 No meio de ti, *Lv 20.9;Dt 27.16fizeram pouco caso de seu pai e de sua mãe; no meio de ti, usaram de *Êx 23.9;Jr 7.6;Zc 7.10opressão para com o estrangeiro; no meio de ti, foram injustos para com o *Ez 22.25;Êx 22.22;Ml 3.5órfão e a viúva. 8 Desprezaste as minhas *Ez 22.26coisas sagradas e profanaste os meus *Ez 20.13,21,24;23.38-39sábados. 9 Homens caluniadores acharam-se no meio de ti *Ez 22.2-3,6,13para derramarem o sangue; e no meio de ti *Ez 18.6,11,15comeram sobre os montes; no meio de ti *Ez 23.29;Os 4.2,10,14praticaram a luxúria. 10 No meio de ti *Lv 18.8descobriram a nudez de seus pais; no meio de ti humilharam a que estava *Ez 18.6;Lv 18.19imunda no tempo da sua separação. 11 Um praticou o que é abominável *Ez 18.11;33.26com a mulher do seu próximo, outro contaminou com luxúria *Lv 18.15sua nora, e outro no meio de ti *2Sm 13.14humilhou sua irmã, filha de seu pai. 12 No meio de ti, *Dt 27.25;Mq 7.2-3receberam peitas para derramarem o sangue; *Lv 25.36usura e ganhos ilícitos tomaste; e ávido de sórdidas ganâncias, trataste o teu próximo com *Lv 19.13opressão e de mim *Ez 23.35;Sl 106.21te esqueceste, diz o Senhor Jeová.

13 Eis que, portanto, *Ez 21.14,17bati as mãos contra *Is 33.15;Am 2.6-8;Mq 2.2o lucro desonesto que ganhaste e contra o teu *Ez 22.3sangue que houve no meio de ti. 14 Poderá o teu coração estar firme ou poderão ser fortes *Ez 7.17;21.7;Is 45.9as tuas mãos nos dias em que eu tratarei contigo? *Ez 24.14Eu, Jeová, o disse e o farei. 15 *Ez 20.23;Dt 4.27;Ne 1.8;Zc 7.14Espalhar-te-ei entre as nações, e te dispersarei pelos países, e de ti *Ez 23.27,48consumirei a tua imundícia. 16 *Ez 22.4Serás profanada em ti mesma, à vista das nações, *Ez 6.7;Sl 83.18e saberás que eu sou Jeová.

Os pecados de Jerusalém castigados

17 Veio a mim a palavra de Jeová, dizendo: 18 Filho do homem, a casa de Israel tem-se tornado para mim em *Sl 119.119;Is 1.22;Lm 4.1escória; todos eles são *Jr 6.28,30cobre, e estanho, e ferro, e chumbo, no meio da *Pv 17.3;Is 48.10fornalha; eles são a escória da prata. 19 Portanto, assim diz o Senhor Jeová: Porquanto todos vós vos tornastes em escória, portanto eis que eu vos ajuntarei no meio de Jerusalém. 20 Como se ajuntam a prata, e o cobre, e o ferro, e o chumbo, e o estanho no meio da *Is 1.25fornalha, *Ez 22.21para assoprar o fogo sobre eles, com o fim de os fundir, assim *Ml 3.2vos ajuntarei na minha ira e no meu furor, e ali vos porei, e vos fundirei. 21 Na verdade, congregar-vos-ei e assoprarei sobre vós com o fogo da minha ira, e sereis *Sl 68.2fundidos no meio dela. 22 Como se funde a prata no meio da fornalha, assim sereis *Ez 21.7fundidos no meio dela; e sabereis que eu, Jeová, *Ez 20.8,33;Os 5.10derramei o meu furor sobre vós.

Os profetas, sacerdotes e príncipes infiéis são denunciados

23 Veio a mim a palavra de Jeová, dizendo: 24 Filho do homem, dize-lhe a ela: Tu és uma terra que *Ez 24.13;2Cr 28.22;Is 9.13;Jr 2.30;Sf 3.2não está purificada, nem regada de chuvas no dia da *Ez 22.14,31indignação. 25 Há, no meio dela, uma *Jr 11.9;Os 6.9conspiração dos seus profetas, como *Sl 10.9;17.12;22.13um leão que ruge e *Ez 34.2-4;Is 56.11;Os 6.9;Mq 3.5que arrebata a presa. Eles *Ez 22.27;Ez 13.19;Jr 2.34devoram almas, recebem tesouros e coisas preciosas; multiplicam *Ez 22.7;Jr 15.8as suas viúvas no meio dela. 26 Os seus *Ez 7.26;Jr 2.8,26sacerdotes violentam a minha lei e *Ez 22.8;1Sm 2.12-17,22profanam as minhas coisas sagradas. *Ez 44.23;Lv 10.10Não distinguem entre o santo e o profano, nem fazem que os homens discirnam a diferença entre *Ag 2.11-14o imundo e o limpo e dos meus *Ez 20.12-13sábados escondem os seus olhos; *Ez 36.20e eu sou profanado entre eles. 27 Os seus *Ez 22.6;Ez 19.3-6;Is 1.23;Sf 3.3príncipes no meio dela são como lobos que arrebatam a presa *Ez 22.2-3,6para derramarem o sangue e *Ez 22.25destruírem as almas, a fim de ganharem *Ez 22.13lucro desonesto. 28 Vendo *Ez 13.6;Jr 23.25-32vaidades e adivinhando-lhes mentiras, os seus profetas *Ez 13.10-16rebocam para eles com argamassa magra, dizendo: Assim diz o Senhor Jeová, quando Jeová não falou. 29 O povo da terra usou de *Ez 22.7;Ez 9.9;Is 5.7;Am 3.10opressão e praticou roubos; afligiu ao pobre e ao necessitado; *Êx 23.9oprimiu injustamente ao estrangeiro. 30 *Is 59.16;63.5;Jr 5.1Busquei entre eles um homem que *Ez 13.5consertasse a sebe e que *Sl 106.23;Jr 15.1se pusesse na brecha diante de mim por esta terra, para que eu não a destruísse; porém não o achei. 31 Por isso, derramei sobre eles a minha *Ez 22.20;Is 10.5;13.5;30.27indignação; com o fogo do meu furor os consumi; fiz que *Ez 7.3,8,9;9.10;16.43;Rm 2.8-9o seu caminho lhes recaísse sobre a cabeça, diz o Senhor Jeová.

1 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 2 Now, thou son of man, wilt thou judge, wilt thou judge the bloody city? yea, thou shalt shew her all her abominations.*22.2 judge: or, plead for*22.2 bloody…: Heb. city of bloods?*22.2 shew her: Heb. make her know 3 Then say thou, Thus saith the Lord GOD, The city sheddeth blood in the midst of it, that her time may come, and maketh idols against herself to defile herself. 4 Thou art become guilty in thy blood that thou hast shed; and hast defiled thyself in thine idols which thou hast made; and thou hast caused thy days to draw near, and art come even unto thy years: therefore have I made thee a reproach unto the heathen, and a mocking to all countries. 5 Those that be near, and those that be far from thee, shall mock thee, which art infamous and much vexed.*22.5 infamous…: Heb. polluted of name, much in vexation 6 Behold, the princes of Israel, every one were in thee to their power to shed blood.*22.6 power: Heb. arm 7 In thee have they set light by father and mother: in the midst of thee have they dealt by oppression with the stranger: in thee have they vexed the fatherless and the widow.*22.7 oppression: or, deceit 8 Thou hast despised mine holy things, and hast profaned my sabbaths. 9 In thee are men that carry tales to shed blood: and in thee they eat upon the mountains: in the midst of thee they commit lewdness.*22.9 that…: Heb. of slanders 10 In thee have they discovered their fathers’ nakedness: in thee have they humbled her that was set apart for pollution. 11 And one hath committed abomination with his neighbour’s wife; and another hath lewdly defiled his daughter in law; and another in thee hath humbled his sister, his father’s daughter.*22.11 one: or, every one*22.11 another: or, every one*22.11 lewdly: or, by lewdness 12 In thee have they taken gifts to shed blood; thou hast taken usury and increase, and thou hast greedily gained of thy neighbours by extortion, and hast forgotten me, saith the Lord GOD.

13 Behold, therefore I have smitten mine hand at thy dishonest gain which thou hast made, and at thy blood which hath been in the midst of thee. 14 Can thine heart endure, or can thine hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with thee? I the LORD have spoken it, and will do it. 15 And I will scatter thee among the heathen, and disperse thee in the countries, and will consume thy filthiness out of thee. 16 And thou shalt take thine inheritance in thyself in the sight of the heathen, and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.*22.16 shalt take…: or, shalt be profaned

17 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 18 Son of man, the house of Israel is to me become dross: all they are brass, and tin, and iron, and lead, in the midst of the furnace; they are even the dross of silver.*22.18 dross of silver: Heb. drosses, etc 19 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye are all become dross, behold, therefore I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem. 20 As they gather silver, and brass, and iron, and lead, and tin, into the midst of the furnace, to blow the fire upon it, to melt it; so will I gather you in mine anger and in my fury, and I will leave you there, and melt you.*22.20 As…: Heb. According to the gathering 21 Yea, I will gather you, and blow upon you in the fire of my wrath, and ye shall be melted in the midst thereof. 22 As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall ye be melted in the midst thereof; and ye shall know that I the LORD have poured out my fury upon you.

23 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 24 Son of man, say unto her, Thou art the land that is not cleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation. 25 There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they have devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst thereof. 26 Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.*22.26 violated: Heb. offered violence to 27 Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain. 28 And her prophets have daubed them with untempered morter, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken. 29 The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully.*22.29 oppression: or, deceit*22.29 wrongfully: Heb. without right 30 And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. 31 Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD.
