Profecia contra Gogue

1 Veio a mim a palavra de Jeová, dizendo: 2 Filho do homem, vira o teu para *Ez 38.3,14,16,18;Ez 39.1,11;Ap 20.8Gogue, da terra de *Ez 39.6;Gn 10.2;Ap 20.8Magogue, príncipe de *Ez 38.3;Ez 39.1Rôs, *Ez 38.3;Ez 27.13;39.1Meseque e Tubal, e profetiza contra ele, 3 e dize: Assim diz o Senhor Jeová: Eis que sou *Ez 39.1contra ti, Gogue, príncipe de Rôs, Meseque e Tubal. 4 *Ez 39.2Far-te-ei voltar, *Ez 29.4porei anzóis nos teus queixos e *Is 43.17te tirarei para fora a ti e a todo o teu exército, *Ez 38.15;Dn 11.40cavalos e cavaleiros, todos eles vestidos de armadura completa, uma grande companhia com pavês e escudo, empunhando todos espadas; 5 *Ez 27.10;2Cr 36.20;Ed 1.1;Dn 8.20Pérsia, *Ez 30.4-5;Gn 10.6-8Cus *Ez 27.10;30.5e Pute com eles, todos com escudo e capacetes; 6 *Gn 10.2-3Gômer e todas as suas tropas; a casa de *Ez 27.14;Gn 10.3Togarma nos *Ez 38.15últimos confins do norte e todas as suas tropas, sim, muitos povos contigo.

7 Prepara-te, e dispõe-te, tu e todas as tuas companhias que se têm ajuntado a ti, e serve-lhes de guarda. 8 *Is 24.22Depois de muitos dias, serás visitado. Nos últimos anos, virás à terra que foi retirada da espada e *Ez 38.12;Ez 36.24;37.21;39.27-28;Is 11.11que foi congregada dentre muitos povos *Ez 34.13;36.1-8sobre os montes de Israel, que têm estado há muito desertos, porém ela foi tirada dentre os povos, e os *Ez 38.11,14;Ez 39.26seus moradores estarão todos seguros. 9 Subirás, virás *Is 5.28;21.1;25.4;28.2;Jr 4.13com uma tempestade e tornar-te-ás *Ez 38.16;Ez 30.18;Jl 2.2como uma nuvem para cobrir a terra, tu, e todas as tuas tropas, e muitos povos contigo.

10 Assim diz o Senhor Jeová: Naquele dia, *Ez 11.5entrarão na tua mente certos projetos, e *Sl 36.4;Mq 2.1maquinarás um mau desígnio; 11 e dirás: Subirei à terra de *Zc 2.4aldeias sem muros; irei contra os que estão *Jr 49.31em repouso, *Ez 38.8que habitam seguros, habitando todos sem terem muros e não tendo nem ferrolhos nem portas, 12 para *Ez 29.19;Is 10.6saqueares o despojo e te lançares sobre a presa; para tornares a tua mão contra os lugares desertos que se acham presentemente habitados e contra o povo que foi *Ez 38.8congregado dentre as nações, o qual adquiriu gado e bens e habita no meio da terra. 13 *Ez 27.22-23Sabá, *Ez 25.13;27.15,20e Dedã, e os negociantes de *Ez 27.12Társis, com os seus *Ez 32.2;Na 2.11-13leões novos, te dirão: És vindo para saqueares os despojos? Ajuntaste a tua companhia para te lançares sobre a presa? Para levares a prata e o ouro, para tirares o gado e os bens, para saqueares grande *Is 10.6;33.23;Jr 15.13despojo?

Gogue invadirá Israel

14 Portanto, filho do homem, profetiza e dize a *Ez 38.2Gogue: Assim diz o Senhor Jeová: Acaso, naquele dia, quando o meu povo de Israel *Ez 38.8,11;Jr 23.6;Zc 2.5,8habitar seguro, não o saberás tu? 15 Virás do teu lugar lá dos *Ez 38.6;Ez 39.2últimos confins do norte, tu e muitos povos contigo, *Ez 38.4montados todos a cavalo, uma grande companhia e um exército pujante; 16 e subirás contra o meu povo de Israel, *Ez 38.9como uma nuvem para cobrir a terra. Nos últimos dias, te trarei *Ez 38.8contra a minha terra, *Ez 38.23;Ez 36.23;Sl 83.18para que me conheçam as nações, quando eu for *Ez 28.22;Is 5.16;8.13;29.23santificado em ti, ó Gogue, diante dos seus olhos.

A ira de Jeová contra Gogue

17 Assim diz o Senhor Jeová: És tu aquele de quem, nos tempos antigos, por meio dos meus servos, os profetas de Israel, que naqueles dias *Is 5.26-29;34.1-6;63.1-6;66.15-16;Jl 3.9-14profetizaram durante muitos anos, falei que eu te faria vir sobre eles? 18 Naquele dia, quando *Ez 38.2Gogue vier contra a terra de Israel, diz o Senhor Jeová, a minha indignação subirá às minhas *Sl 18.8,15narinas. 19 Pois, no meu *Ez 5.13;36.5-6;Dt 32.22;Sl 18.7-8;Na 1.2;Hb 12.29zelo e no ardor da minha ira, falei: Certamente, naquele dia, haverá um grande *Ez 37.7;Jl 3.16;Ag 2.6-7,21-22tremor na terra de Israel, 20 *Jr 4.24-25;Os 4.3;Na 1.4-6de sorte que os peixes do mar, e as aves do céu, e os animais do campo, e todos os répteis que se arrastam sobre a terra e todos os homens que há sobre a face da terra, tremerão diante da minha presença, e os *Zc 14.4montes serão deitados abaixo, e os precipícios cairão, e todos os muros cairão por terra. 21 Chamarei a *Ez 14.17espada contra ele para que venha sobre todos os meus montes, diz o Senhor Jeová; *Jz 7.22;1Sm 14.20;2Cr 20.23;Ag 2.22a espada de cada um se voltará contra o seu irmão. 22 *Is 66.16;Jr 25.31Contenderei com ele *Ez 5.17pela peste e pelo sangue; farei chover sobre ele, sobre as suas tropas e sobre os muitos povos que estão com ele uma *Ez 13.11,13chuva inundante, *Sl 11.6;18.12-14;Is 28.17grandes pedras de saraiva, fogo e enxofre. 23 Eu me engrandecerei, *Ez 36.23e me santificarei, *Ez 38.16;Ez 37.28;Sl 9.16e me darei a conhecer aos olhos de muitas nações; e saberão que eu sou Jeová.

1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,*38.2 the chief…: or, prince of the chief 3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: 4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: 5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:*38.5 Libya: or, Phut 6 Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee. 7 Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.

8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them. 9 Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee. 10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:*38.10 think…: or, conceive a mischievous purpose 11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,*38.11 safely: or, confidently 12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.*38.12 To take…: Heb. 14 Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it? 15 And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army: 16 And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes. 17 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them?*38.17 by: Heb. by the hand of 18 And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face. 19 For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; 20 So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.*38.20 steep…: or, towers, or, stairs 21 And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man’s sword shall be against his brother. 22 And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. 23 Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.
