Queda de Gogue

1 Tu, filho do homem, profetiza contra *Ez 38.11;Ez 38.2Gogue e dize: Assim diz o Senhor Jeová: Eis que sou *Ez 38.3-4contra ti, ó Gogue, príncipe de *Ez 38.2Rôs, Meseque e Tubal; 2 far-te-ei virar, e te conduzirei, e te farei *Ez 38.15subir dos últimos confins do norte, e te trarei para subir *Ez 38.8os montes de Israel. 3 *Ez 30.21-24;Sl 76.3;Jr 21.4-5;Os 1.5Com um golpe, tirarei da tua mão esquerda o teu arco e farei cair da tua mão direita as tuas flechas. 4 Sobre os montes de Israel, *Ez 39.17-20;Is 14.24-25cairás, tu, todas as tuas tropas e os povos que estão contigo; e te darei *Ez 29.5;32.4-5;33.27às aves de rapina de toda sorte e aos animais do campo, para que te devorem. 5 Sobre a face do campo, cairás, porque eu o falei, diz o Senhor Jeová. 6 Meterei o *Ez 30.8,16;38.19,22;Am 1.4,7,10;Na 1.6fogo em *Ez 38.2Magogue e nos que habitam seguros nas *Sl 72.10;Is 66.19;Jr 25.22ilhas; e saberão que eu sou Jeová. 7 *Ez 38.16,23Farei conhecido *Ez 39.25;Ez 36.20-22o meu nome no meio do meu povo de Israel e nunca mais deixarei *Ez 20.9,14,39;Êx 20.7profanar o meu santo nome; as *Ez 38.16,23nações saberão que eu sou Jeová, *Is 12.6;43.3,14;55.5;60.9,14o Santo de Israel. 8 Eis que isso *Ez 7.2-10vem e se realizará, diz o Senhor Jeová; este é o dia de que falei. 9 Os habitantes das cidades de Israel *Is 66.24;Ml 1.5sairão e, com as armas, *Js 11.6;Sl 46.9acenderão fogo, queimando os escudos e os paveses, os arcos e as flechas, os bastões de mão e as lanças; com elas, acenderão fogo por sete anos, 10 de sorte que não trarão lenha do campo, nem a cortarão dos bosques. Pois com as armas acenderão fogo, *Is 14.2;33.1;Mq 5.8;Hc 2.8despojarão os que despojaram e roubarão os que os roubaram, diz o Senhor Jeová.

Enterro das hordas de Gogue

11 Naquele dia, darei a *Ez 39.1;Ez 38.2Gogue como lugar de sepultura em Israel, o vale dos que passam, ao *Ez 48.18oriente do mar; fará parar aos que passam; ali, sepultarão a Gogue e toda a sua multidão e chamar-lhe-ão o vale de *Ez 39.15Hamom-Gogue. 12 Os da casa de Israel levarão sete meses em sepultá-los, *Ez 39.14,16;Dt 21.23para purificarem a terra. 13 Todo o povo da terra os sepultará; isso lhes servirá de *Jr 33.9;Sf 3.19-20fama no dia em que eu *Ez 28.22for glorificado, diz o Senhor Jeová. 14 Eles separarão homens que, *Ez 39.12para purificarem a terra, incessantemente a percorram, *Jr 14.16sepultando os que passam, a saber, os que ficam sobre a face da terra; depois de passados sete meses, farão essa busca. 15 Os que percorrem a terra a percorrerão, e, quando algum deles vir um osso de homem, pôr-lhe-á ao pé um sinal, até que os enterradores o tenham enterrado no vale de *Ez 39.11Hamom-Gogue. 16 O nome da cidade será Hamoná. Assim, *Ez 39.12purificarão a terra.

O grande sacrifício de Jeová

17 Filho do homem, assim diz o Senhor Jeová: Fala às *Ez 39.4;Is 56.9;Jr 12.9;Sf 1.7;Ap 19.17-18aves de toda sorte, e a todo animal do campo: Congregai-vos e vinde; ajuntai-vos de todos os lados para o meu *Is 34.6-7;Jr 46.10;Sf 1.7sacrifício que sacrifico por vós, um sacrifício grande, sobre os montes de Israel, para comerdes carne e beberdes sangue. 18 Comereis as *Ez 29.5;Ap 19.18carnes dos poderosos e bebereis o sangue dos príncipes da terra, *Jr 51.40de carneiros, de cordeiros, de bodes e de *Jr 50.27novilhos, todos eles cevados de *Sl 22.12;Am 4.1Basã. 19 Comereis a gordura até vós fartardes e bebereis o sangue até ficardes embriagados, do meu *Ez 39.17sacrifício que sacrifiquei por vós. 20 À minha mesa, fartar-vos-eis de *Ez 38.4;Sl 76.5-6;Ag 2.22;Ap 19.18cavalos e de carros, de valentes e de todos os homens de guerra, diz o Senhor Jeová.

21 Estabelecerei a *Ez 39.13;Ez 36.23;38.16,23;Êx 9.16;Is 37.20minha glória entre as nações, e todas as nações verão o meu juízo que eu tiver executado e a minha mão que eu sobre eles tiver posto. 22 Assim, *Jr 24.7saberão os da casa de Israel que eu sou Jeová, seu Deus, desde aquele dia em diante. 23 E saberão as nações que a casa de Israel, *Ez 36.18-19;Jr 22.8-9;44.22por causa da sua iniquidade, foi levada ao cativeiro, porque eles *Ez 39.26;Ez 20.27transgrediram contra mim, e eu *Ez 39.29;Is 1.15;59.2escondi deles o meu rosto. Assim, os entreguei nas mãos dos seus adversários, e todos eles caíram à espada. 24 Conforme a *Ez 36.19;2Rs 17.7, etc.;Jr 2.17,19;4.18sua imundícia e conforme as suas transgressões, me houve com eles *Ez 39.23e escondi deles o meu rosto.

Israel será restaurado

25 Portanto, assim diz o Senhor Jeová: Agora, *Ez 34.13;Is 27.12-13;Jr 33.7tornarei a trazer o cativeiro de Jacó, e terei compaixão de toda a *Ez 36.10;37.21-22;Jr 31.1;Os 1.11casa de Israel, e *Êx 20.5;Na 1.2zelarei pelo meu santo nome. 26 *Ez 16.63;20.43;36.31Levarão sobre si a sua vergonha e todas as suas transgressões pelas quais transgrediram contra mim, *Ez 34.25-28;1Rs 4.25quando habitarem seguros na sua terra, e *Is 17.2;Mq 4.4ninguém os amedrontará, 27 quando eu tiver *Ez 36.24;37.21tornado a trazê-los dentre os povos, e os tiver ajuntado das terras dos seus inimigos, e for *Ez 36.23;38.16,23santificado neles à vista de muitas nações. 28 Saberão que eu sou Jeová, seu Deus, vendo que os fiz ir para o cativeiro entre as nações e *Ez 39.27tornei a ajuntá-los para a sua terra. Não deixarei lá nenhum deles doravante, 29 nem lhes *Ez 39.23esconderei mais o meu rosto, pois *Ez 36.27;37.14;Is 32.15;Jl 2.28derramei o meu Espírito sobre a casa de Israel, diz o Senhor Jeová.

1 Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: 2 And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel:*39.2 leave…: or, strike thee with six plagues: or, draw thee back with an hook of six teeth*39.2 the north…: Heb. the sides of the north 3 And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand. 4 Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.*39.4 sort: Heb. wing*39.4 to be…: Heb. to devour 5 Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.*39.5 the open…: Heb. the face of the field 6 And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD.*39.6 carelessly: or, confidently 7 So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.

8 Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord GOD; this is the day whereof I have spoken. 9 And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years:*39.9 handstaves: or, javelins*39.9 burn them…: or, make a fire of them 10 So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord GOD.

11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamon-gog.*39.11 noses: or, mouths*39.11 Hamon-gog: that is, The multitude of Gog 12 And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land. 13 Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD. 14 And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing through the land to bury with the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search.*39.14 men…: Heb. men of continuance 15 And the passengers that pass through the land, when any seeth a man’s bone, then shall he set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamon-gog.*39.15 set up: Heb. build 16 And also the name of the city shall be Hamonah. 17 And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood.*39.17 unto…: Heb. to the fowl of every wing*39.17 my sacrifice: or, my slaughter 18 Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan.*39.18 goats: Heb. great goats 19 And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you. 20 Thus ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord GOD. 21 And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them. 22 So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day and forward.

23 And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword. 24 According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done unto them, and hid my face from them. 25 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name; 26 After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid. 27 When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies’ lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations; 28 Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there.*39.28 which…: Heb. by my causing of them, etc 29 Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.
