Ezequiel 8

Visão das abominações em Jerusalém

1 *Ez 1.1-2;20.1;40.1No sexto ano, no sexto mês, aos cinco dias do mês, estando eu sentado em minha casa, *Ez 14.1-4;33.31;Ml 2.7e os anciãos de Judá, sentados diante de mim, sucedeu que ali caiu sobre mim *Ez 3.14;33.22;37.1a mão do Senhor Jeová. 2 Então, olhei, e eis uma semelhança como a aparência de fogo. Desde *Ez 1.27a aparência dos seus lombos e daí para baixo, havia fogo; e, desde os seus lombos e daí para cima, como a aparência de resplendor, *Ez 1.4,27como o brilho de electro. 3 Estendeu a forma *Ez 2.9duma mão e tomou-me por uma trança da minha cabeça; *Ez 3.12;11.1o Espírito me levantou entre a terra e o céu e, nas visões de Deus, me levou a Jerusalém, à entrada da porta *Ez 8.16do átrio interior, que olha para o norte, onde estava o assento da *Ez 8.5imagem do ciúme, que provoca o ciúme. 4 Eis que estava ali a *Ez 1.28glória do Deus de Israel, conforme a aparência que eu tinha visto no vale.

5 Então, disse-me ele: Filho do homem, *Jr 3.2;Zc 5.5levanta os teus olhos para o caminho do norte. Levantei, pois, os meus olhos para o caminho do norte, e eis que, ao norte da porta do altar, estava essa *Ez 8.3;Sl 78.58;Jr 7.30;32.34imagem do ciúme na entrada. 6 Disse-me ele mais: Filho do homem, vês tu o que eles estão fazendo? Vês as grandes *Ez 8.9,17;Ez 5.11;2Rs 23.4-5abominações que a casa de Israel faz aqui, para que *Ez 7.22,24;Sl 78.60me retire longe do meu santuário? Pois ainda tornarás a ver *Ez 8.11,14,16outras grandes abominações.

7 Ele me levou à porta do átrio; e quando olhei, eis uma abertura na parede. 8 Então, me disse: Filho do homem, *Jó 34.22;Is 29.15cava na parede; e, quando eu tinha cavado na parede, eis uma porta. 9 Disse-me: Entra e vê as perversas abominações que eles estão fazendo aqui. 10 Entrei, pois, e vi; eis *Ez 14.3;Êx 20.4;Dt 4.16-18;Jr 2.26-27;16.18toda a forma de répteis, e animais abomináveis, e todos os ídolos da casa de Israel, pintados na parede em todo o redor. 11 Estavam em pé diante deles *Êx 24.1,9;Nm 11.16,25;Lc 10.1setenta homens dos *Jr 19.1anciãos da casa de Israel, entre os quais se achava Jaazanias, filho de Safã, tendo cada um na mão o seu *Nm 16.17,35incensário; e subiu o odor da nuvem de *Ez 16.18;23.41;Jr 44.3-5incenso. 12 Então, disse-me: Filho do homem, viste o que fazem nas trevas os anciãos da casa de Israel, cada um nas suas câmaras de imagens? Pois *Ez 9.9dizem: Jeová não nos vê; Jeová abandonou a terra. 13 Também me disse: Ainda tornarás a ver *Jr 9.3outras grandes abominações que eles estão fazendo.

14 Levou-me à entrada *Ez 44.4;46.9da porta da Casa de Jeová, que olha para o norte; eis que estavam ali sentadas as mulheres, chorando a Tamuz. 15 Disse-me: Vês isso, filho do homem? Ainda tornarás a ver maiores abominações do que essas.

16 Levou-me ao *Ez 8.3;Ez 10.3átrio interior da Casa de Jeová e eis que se achavam à porta do templo de Jeová, entre o pórtico e o altar, *Ez 11.1uns vinte e cinco homens, que tinham *Ez 23.39;1Rs 8.30;2Cr 29.6;Jr 2.27as costas voltadas para o templo de Jeová e virados os seus rostos para o oriente; *Dt 4.19;17.3;Jó 31.26-28;Jr 44.17e estavam adorando o sol virados para o oriente. 17 Então, me disse: Vês isso, filho do homem? Acaso, é isto coisa de pouca monta para a casa de Israel o fazerem eles as abominações que fazem aqui? *Ez 7.11,23;9.9;Am 3.10;Mq 2.2Pois encheram de violência a terra e tornaram *Ez 16.26;Jr 7.18-19para me provocarem à ira. Eis que eles chegam o ramo ao seu nariz. 18 Por isso, também eu os tratarei com furor; *Ez 7.4;9.5,10os meus olhos não pouparão, nem mostrarei piedade. *Is 1.15;Jr 11.11;Mq 3.4;Zc 7.13Ainda que me gritem aos ouvidos em alta voz, contudo, não os ouvirei.

1 And it came to pass in the sixth year, in the sixth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I sat in mine house, and the elders of Judah sat before me, that the hand of the Lord GOD fell there upon me. 2 Then I beheld, and lo a likeness as the appearance of fire: from the appearance of his loins even downward, fire; and from his loins even upward, as the appearance of brightness, as the colour of amber. 3 And he put forth the form of an hand, and took me by a lock of mine head; and the spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heaven, and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the inner gate that looketh toward the north; where was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy. 4 And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, according to the vision that I saw in the plain.

5 Then said he unto me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes now the way toward the north. So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the north, and behold northward at the gate of the altar this image of jealousy in the entry. 6 He said furthermore unto me, Son of man, seest thou what they do? even the great abominations that the house of Israel committeth here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? but turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations.

7 And he brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold a hole in the wall. 8 Then said he unto me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: and when I had digged in the wall, behold a door. 9 And he said unto me, Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here. 10 So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, pourtrayed upon the wall round about. 11 And there stood before them seventy men of the ancients of the house of Israel, and in the midst of them stood Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan, with every man his censer in his hand; and a thick cloud of incense went up. 12 Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery? for they say, The LORD seeth us not; the LORD hath forsaken the earth.

13 He said also unto me, Turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations that they do. 14 Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD’s house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz.

15 Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these. 16 And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD’s house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.

17 Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have returned to provoke me to anger: and, lo, they put the branch to their nose.*8.17 Is it…: or, Is there any thing lighter than to commit 18 Therefore will I also deal in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them.
