A luxúria de Oolá e Oolibá

1 A palavra de Jeová veio a mim, dizendo: 2 Filho do homem, houve *Ez 16.44,46duas mulheres, filhas de *Ez 16.3-45uma mesma mãe; 3 elas *Ez 23.37;Ez 20.7-8se deram a fornicações no Egito; *Jr 3.9fornicaram na sua mocidade.

Ali, foram apertados os seus peitos e ali foram pisados os seios da sua virgindade. 4 Os nomes delas eram Oolá, a mais velha, e Oolibá, sua irmã; *Ez 16.8tornaram-se minhas e deram à luz filhos e filhas. Quanto aos seus nomes, *Ez 16.46Samaria é Oolá, e Jerusalém é *Sl 76.2Oolibá.

5 Fornicou *1Rs 12.28-30Oolá, sendo minha; apaixonou-se pelos seus amantes, pelos *Ez 16.28;2Rs 15.19;16.7;17.3;Os 5.13;8.9-10assírios, seus vizinhos, 6 que se vestiam de azul, *Ez 23.12,23governadores e sátrapas, todos mancebos apetecíveis, cavaleiros montados a cavalo. 7 *Ez 23.30;Ez 16.15Entregou-se a fornicações com todos estes que eram os mais escolhidos da Assíria *Ez 20.7;22.3-4;Os 5.3;6.10e contaminou-se com todos os ídolos daqueles pelos quais se apaixonava. 8 Nem deixou as suas fornicações *Ez 23.3,19;Êx 32.4;1Rs 12.28;2Rs 10.29;17.16desde os dias do Egito; pois muitos se deitaram com ela na sua mocidade, pisaram os seios da sua virgindade e sobre ela *Ez 16.15derramaram a sua fornicação. 9 Pelo que a entreguei nas mãos dos seus *Ez 23.22;Ez 16.37amantes, nas mãos dos *2Rs 15.29;18.9-12;Os 11.5assírios, pelos quais se apaixonava. 10 Estes *Ez 23.18,29;Ez 16.36-37;Os 2.10descobriram a sua nudez; levaram-lhe *Ez 23.47os filhos e as filhas e mataram-na com a espada; ela se tornou um *Ez 16.57provérbio entre as mulheres, pois nela executaram juízos.

11 Sua irmã *Ez 23.4Oolibá viu isso, contudo ficou *Ez 16.51;Jr 3.8-11mais corrompida na sua paixão do que ela, como também nas suas fornicações, que eram mais numerosas do que as de sua irmã. 12 Apaixonou-se pelos *Ez 16.28;2Rs 16.7-15;2Cr 28.16-23assírios, *Ez 23.6,23governadores e sátrapas, seus vizinhos, vestidos mui esplendidamente, cavaleiros montados a cavalos, todos mancebos apetecíveis. 13 Vi que se tinha contaminado; *Ez 23.31;2Rs 17.18-19;Os 12.1-2ambas seguiram o mesmo caminho. 14 E aumentou as suas fornicações, porque viu uns homens *Ez 8.10pintados na parede, imagens dos *Ez 16.29caldeus, pintados de *Jr 22.14vermelho, 15 cingidos os seus lombos de *Is 22.21cintos, tendo largas tiaras tingidas sobre as cabeças, todos príncipes no parecer, à semelhança dos filhos de Babilônia, na Caldeia, terra do seu nascimento. 16 Logo que os viu, *Ez 23.20;Mt 5.28apaixonou-se por eles e mandou-lhes embaixadores à Caldeia. 17 Vieram ter com ela *2Rs 24.17os filhos de Babilônia para a cama dos amores e *Ez 23.30a contaminaram com as suas fornicações; ela se contaminou com eles, e depois a sua alma *Ez 23.28;Ez 16.37se alienou deles. 18 Assim, *Ez 23.10;Ez 21.24;Jr 8.12descobriu as suas fornicações e descobriu a sua nudez; então, a minha alma *Sl 78.59;106.40;Jr 12.8se alienou dela, assim como se alienara de *Ez 23.9;Am 5.21sua irmã. 19 Todavia, ela *Ez 23.14;Am 4.4multiplicou as suas fornicações, lembrando-se dos dias da sua *Ez 23.3mocidade, em que fornicara na terra do Egito. 20 *Ez 16.26;17.15Apaixonou-se pelos seus amantes, cujas carnes são como as carnes de jumentos e cujo fluxo é como o fluxo de cavalos. 21 Assim, te lembraste da *Ez 23.3;Jr 3.9luxúria da tua mocidade, quando foram pelos egípcios apalpados os teus seios, quando foram pisados os peitos da tua mocidade.

O castigo que lhes sobreveio

22 Portanto, ó Oolibá, assim diz o Senhor Jeová: Eis que eu suscitarei contra ti *Ez 23.9;Ez 16.37os teus amantes, dos quais está alienada a tua alma, e fá-los-ei vir contra ti de todos os lados: 23 *Ez 23.14-17;Ez 21.19;2Rs 20.14-17os filhos de Babilônia e todos os *2Rs 24.2;Jó 1.17;Is 23.13caldeus, *Jr 50.21Pécode, e Soa, e Coa, juntamente com todos os *Gn 2.14;25.18;Ed 6.22assírios, *Ez 23.6,12mancebos apetecíveis, todos governadores e sátrapas, príncipes e homens de renome, todos montados a cavalo. 24 *Ez 21.15,19Virão contra ti com armas, *Ez 26.10;Jr 47.3;Na 2.3-4carros e carroças e com uma *Ez 16.40assembleia de povos; por-se-ão contra ti ao redor, com pavês, e escudo, e capacete; *Ez 23.45;Ez 16.38;Jr 39.5-6entregar-lhes-ei o juízo, e te julgarão conforme os seus juízos. 25 Porei contra ti o meu *Ez 5.13;8.17-18;Êx 34.14;Sf 1.18zelo, e eles te tratarão com furor; tirar-te-ão o nariz e as orelhas, e o que te ficar de resto cairá pela espada. Levarão teus *Ez 23.47;Os 2.4filhos e tuas filhas, e o que em ti ficar, será *Ez 20.47-48;22.20-21devorado pelo fogo. 26 Eles *Ez 23.29;Ez 16.39;Jr 13.22te despojarão dos teus vestidos, e te levarão os teus *Is 3.18-23belos adornos. 27 Farei *Ez 23.48;Ez 16.43;22.15cessar de ti a tua luxúria e a tua fornicação trazida da terra do *Ez 23.3,8Egito, de sorte que não levantarás os olhos para eles, nem te lembrarás mais do Egito. 28 Pois assim diz o Senhor Jeová: Eis que te entregarei nas mãos daqueles a quem *Ez 23.17,22;Ez 16.37;Jr 21.7-10;34.20odeias, nas mãos daqueles de quem está alienada a tua alma; 29 eles *Ez 23.25-26,45-47;Dt 28.48te tratarão com ódio, e te levarão todo o teu trabalho, e te deixarão nua e despida; *Ez 23.10a nudez das tuas fornicações será descoberta, tanto a tua luxúria como as tuas fornicações.

30 Essas coisas se te farão, porquanto *Ez 23.7,17;Sl 106.35-38;Jr 2.18-20;16.11-12fornicaste após os pagãos e te contaminaste com os seus ídolos. 31 Andaste pelo caminho de tua *Ez 23.4;Ez 16.47-51irmã; portanto, darei o seu *Ez 23.33;2Rs 21.13;Jr 7.14-15cálice na tua mão. 32 Assim diz o Senhor Jeová: *Sl 60.3;Is 51.17;Jr 25.15Beberás o cálice de tua irmã, o qual é fundo e largo; serás *Ez 5.14-15;16.57;22.4-5objeto de escárnio e de irrisão; o cálice leva muito. 33 De *Jr 25.15-16,27;Hc 2.16embriaguez e de dor te encherás, do cálice de *Ez 4.16;12.19espanto e de desolação, do cálice de tua irmã Samaria. 34 Tu *Sl 75.8;Is 51.17o beberás, e esgotarás até as fezes, e roerás os seus cacos, e te rasgarás os teus peitos; pois eu o falei, diz o Senhor Jeová. 35 Portanto assim diz o Senhor Jeová: Porque *Ez 22.12;Is 17.10;Jr 3.21;Os 8.14;13.6te esqueceste de mim *1Rs 14.9;Jr 2.27;32.33e me lançaste para trás das tuas costas, portanto *Ez 23.49;Ez 7.4leva também a tua luxúria e as tuas fornicações.

36 Disse-me mais Jeová: Filho do homem, *Ez 20.4;22.2;Jr 1.10julgarás tu a Oolá e a Oolibá? Então *Ez 16.2;Is 58.1;Mq 3.8declara-lhes as suas abominações. 37 Pois *Ez 23.3-45cometeram adultério, e se acha *Ez 22.3sangue nas suas mãos, e com os seus ídolos cometeram adultério; também *Ez 16.20-21,36fizeram passar pelo fogo para eles, a fim de serem consumidos, aos filhos que me geraram. 38 Ainda isto me fizeram: *Ez 5.11;7.20;2Rs 21.4,7contaminaram no mesmo dia o meu santuário e profanaram os meus *Ez 20.13,24;Jr 17.27sábados. 39 Pois, quando tinham sacrificado seus filhos aos seus ídolos, no mesmo dia, entraram no meu *Jr 7.9-11santuário para o profanarem e eis que assim fizeram no meio da minha casa. 40 Além disso mandastes buscar homens *Ez 23.16;2Rs 20.13-15;Is 57.9que vieram de longe, aos quais fora enviado um mensageiro, e eis que vieram; *Ez 16.16-19por amor dos quais te lavaste, *2Rs 9.30;Jr 4.30pintaste os teus olhos *Ez 16.13-16;Is 3.18-23e te enfeitaste dos teus adornos; 41 e te sentaste sobre um *Et 1.6;Is 57.7;Am 6.4leito magnífico, diante do qual estava *Ez 44.16;Is 65.11uma mesa preparada, sobre que puseste o meu *Jr 44.17;Os 2.8incenso e o meu óleo. 42 Ouvia-se com ela a voz duma multidão *Ez 16.49;Os 6.3-6que folgava, e, na companhia de homens da classe baixa, foram do deserto trazidos uns *Jr 51.7bêbados, que puseram *Ez 16.11-12;Gn 24.30braceletes nas mãos delas e coroas formosas, nas suas cabeças.

43 Então, disse eu da que estava *Ez 23.3;Ed 9.7;Sl 106.6gasta em adultérios: Agora, cometerão fornicação com ela, e ela, com eles! 44 Entraram a estar com ela, como quem entra a estar com uma prostituta; assim, entravam a estar com Oolá e Oolibá, mulheres perdidas. 45 E homens justos *Ez 16.38;Os 6.5as julgarão com o juízo das *Ez 23.37-39;Lv 20.10adúlteras e com o juízo das mulheres que derramam sangue; porque são adúlteras, e se acha sangue nas suas mãos. 46 Pois assim diz o Senhor Jeová: Farei subir contra elas uma *Ez 23.24;Ez 16.40;Jr 25.9assembleia e as entregarei ao *Jr 15.4;24.9;29.18tumulto e ao saque. 47 Essa assembleia *Ez 16.40;Lv 20.10as apedrejará com pedras, e as matarão com as suas espadas; trucidarão *Ez 23.25;Ez 24.21;2Cr 36.17seus filhos e suas filhas e *Jr 39.8abrasarão as suas casas com fogo. 48 Assim, farei *Ez 23.27;Ez 16.41cessar da terra a luxúria, para que todas as mulheres sejam ensinadas a não praticarem segundo a vossa luxúria. 49 A vós *Ez 23.35;Ez 7.4,9;9.10;Is 59.18vos pagarão a vossa luxúria, e levareis os pecados dos vossos ídolos; *Ez 6.7;20.38e sabereis que eu sou o Senhor Jeová.

1 The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying, 2 Son of man, there were two women, the daughters of one mother: 3 And they committed whoredoms in Egypt; they committed whoredoms in their youth: there were their breasts pressed, and there they bruised the teats of their virginity. 4 And the names of them were Aholah the elder, and Aholibah her sister: and they were mine, and they bare sons and daughters. Thus were their names; Samaria is Aholah, and Jerusalem Aholibah.*23.4 Aholah: that is, His tent, or, tabernacle*23.4 Aholibah: that is, My tabernacle in her 5 And Aholah played the harlot when she was mine; and she doted on her lovers, on the Assyrians her neighbours, 6 Which were clothed with blue, captains and rulers, all of them desirable young men, horsemen riding upon horses. 7 Thus she committed her whoredoms with them, with all them that were the chosen men of Assyria, and with all on whom she doted: with all their idols she defiled herself.*23.7 committed…: Heb. bestowed her whoredoms upon them*23.7 the chosen…: Heb. the choice of the children of Asshur 8 Neither left she her whoredoms brought from Egypt: for in her youth they lay with her, and they bruised the breasts of her virginity, and poured their whoredom upon her. 9 Wherefore I have delivered her into the hand of her lovers, into the hand of the Assyrians, upon whom she doted. 10 These discovered her nakedness: they took her sons and her daughters, and slew her with the sword: and she became famous among women; for they had executed judgment upon her.*23.10 famous: Heb. a name

11 And when her sister Aholibah saw this, she was more corrupt in her inordinate love than she, and in her whoredoms more than her sister in her whoredoms.*23.11 she was…: Heb. she corrupted her inordinate love more than, etc*23.11 more than…: Heb. more than the whoredoms of her sister 12 She doted upon the Assyrians her neighbours, captains and rulers clothed most gorgeously, horsemen riding upon horses, all of them desirable young men. 13 Then I saw that she was defiled, that they took both one way, 14 And that she increased her whoredoms: for when she saw men pourtrayed upon the wall, the images of the Chaldeans pourtrayed with vermilion, 15 Girded with girdles upon their loins, exceeding in dyed attire upon their heads, all of them princes to look to, after the manner of the Babylonians of Chaldea, the land of their nativity: 16 And as soon as she saw them with her eyes, she doted upon them, and sent messengers unto them into Chaldea.*23.16 as soon…: Heb. at the sight of her eyes 17 And the Babylonians came to her into the bed of love, and they defiled her with their whoredom, and she was polluted with them, and her mind was alienated from them.*23.17 Babylonians: Heb. children of Babel*23.17 alienated: Heb. loosed, or, disjointed 18 So she discovered her whoredoms, and discovered her nakedness: then my mind was alienated from her, like as my mind was alienated from her sister. 19 Yet she multiplied her whoredoms, in calling to remembrance the days of her youth, wherein she had played the harlot in the land of Egypt. 20 For she doted upon their paramours, whose flesh is as the flesh of asses, and whose issue is like the issue of horses. 21 Thus thou calledst to remembrance the lewdness of thy youth, in bruising thy teats by the Egyptians for the paps of thy youth.

22 Therefore, O Aholibah, thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will raise up thy lovers against thee, from whom thy mind is alienated, and I will bring them against thee on every side; 23 The Babylonians, and all the Chaldeans, Pekod, and Shoa, and Koa, and all the Assyrians with them: all of them desirable young men, captains and rulers, great lords and renowned, all of them riding upon horses. 24 And they shall come against thee with chariots, wagons, and wheels, and with an assembly of people, which shall set against thee buckler and shield and helmet round about: and I will set judgment before them, and they shall judge thee according to their judgments. 25 And I will set my jealousy against thee, and they shall deal furiously with thee: they shall take away thy nose and thine ears; and thy remnant shall fall by the sword: they shall take thy sons and thy daughters; and thy residue shall be devoured by the fire. 26 They shall also strip thee out of thy clothes, and take away thy fair jewels.*23.26 fair…: Heb. instruments of thy decking 27 Thus will I make thy lewdness to cease from thee, and thy whoredom brought from the land of Egypt: so that thou shalt not lift up thine eyes unto them, nor remember Egypt any more. 28 For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will deliver thee into the hand of them whom thou hatest, into the hand of them from whom thy mind is alienated: 29 And they shall deal with thee hatefully, and shall take away all thy labour, and shall leave thee naked and bare: and the nakedness of thy whoredoms shall be discovered, both thy lewdness and thy whoredoms. 30 I will do these things unto thee, because thou hast gone a whoring after the heathen, and because thou art polluted with their idols. 31 Thou hast walked in the way of thy sister; therefore will I give her cup into thine hand. 32 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou shalt drink of thy sister’s cup deep and large: thou shalt be laughed to scorn and had in derision; it containeth much. 33 Thou shalt be filled with drunkenness and sorrow, with the cup of astonishment and desolation, with the cup of thy sister Samaria. 34 Thou shalt even drink it and suck it out, and thou shalt break the sherds thereof, and pluck off thine own breasts: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD. 35 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast forgotten me, and cast me behind thy back, therefore bear thou also thy lewdness and thy whoredoms.

36 The LORD said moreover unto me; Son of man, wilt thou judge Aholah and Aholibah? yea, declare unto them their abominations;*23.36 judge: or, plead for 37 That they have committed adultery, and blood is in their hands, and with their idols have they committed adultery, and have also caused their sons, whom they bare unto me, to pass for them through the fire, to devour them. 38 Moreover this they have done unto me: they have defiled my sanctuary in the same day, and have profaned my sabbaths. 39 For when they had slain their children to their idols, then they came the same day into my sanctuary to profane it; and, lo, thus have they done in the midst of mine house. 40 And furthermore, that ye have sent for men to come from far, unto whom a messenger was sent; and, lo, they came: for whom thou didst wash thyself, paintedst thy eyes, and deckedst thyself with ornaments,*23.40 to come: Heb. coming 41 And satest upon a stately bed, and a table prepared before it, whereupon thou hast set mine incense and mine oil.*23.41 stately: Heb. honourable 42 And a voice of a multitude being at ease was with her: and with the men of the common sort were brought Sabeans from the wilderness, which put bracelets upon their hands, and beautiful crowns upon their heads.*23.42 of the…: Heb. of the multitude of men*23.42 Sabeans: or, drunkards 43 Then said I unto her that was old in adulteries, Will they now commit whoredoms with her, and she with them?*23.43 whoredoms…: Heb. her whoredoms 44 Yet they went in unto her, as they go in unto a woman that playeth the harlot: so went they in unto Aholah and unto Aholibah, the lewd women.

45 And the righteous men, they shall judge them after the manner of adulteresses, and after the manner of women that shed blood; because they are adulteresses, and blood is in their hands. 46 For thus saith the Lord GOD; I will bring up a company upon them, and will give them to be removed and spoiled.*23.46 to be…: Heb. for a removing and spoil 47 And the company shall stone them with stones, and dispatch them with their swords; they shall slay their sons and their daughters, and burn up their houses with fire.*23.47 dispatch…: or, single them out 48 Thus will I cause lewdness to cease out of the land, that all women may be taught not to do after your lewdness. 49 And they shall recompense your lewdness upon you, and ye shall bear the sins of your idols: and ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.
