1 Awake, awake; put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean. 2 Shake thyself from the dust; arise, sit down, Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, captive daughter of Zion. 3 For thus saith Jehovah: Ye have sold yourselves for nought, and ye shall be redeemed without money. 4 For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: My people went down at the first into Egypt to sojourn there, and Assyria oppressed them without cause; 5 and now, what have I here, saith Jehovah, that my people hath been taken away for nought? They that rule over them make them to howl, saith Jehovah; and continually all the day is my name scorned. 6 Therefore my people shall know my name; therefore they shall know in that day that I am HE, that saith, Here am I.

7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that announceth glad tidings, that publisheth peace; that announceth glad tidings of good, that publisheth salvation, that saith unto Zion, Thy God*GodHebrew: Elohim reigneth! 8 — The voice of thy watchmen, they lift up the voice, they sing aloud together; for they shall see eye to eye, when Jehovah shall bring again Zion. 9 Break forth, sing aloud together, waste places of Jerusalem; for Jehovah comforteth his people, he hath redeemed Jerusalem. 10 Jehovah hath made bare his holy arm in the sight of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God*GodHebrew: Elohim11 — Depart, depart, go out from thence, touch not what is unclean; go out of the midst of her, be ye clean, that bear the vessels of Jehovah. 12 For ye shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight; for Jehovah will go before you, and the God*GodHebrew: Elohim of Israel will be your rear-guard.

13 Behold, my servant shall deal prudently; he shall be exalted and be lifted up, and be very high. 14 As many were astonished at thee — his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the children of men 15 — so shall he astonish many nations; kings shall shut their mouths at him: for what had not been told them shall they see, and what they had not heard shall they consider.

Cap. 45:13.Ier. 15:13. ați fost vânduți și nu veți fi răscumpărați cu preț de argint." 4 Căci așa vorbește Domnul Dumnezeu: „Odinioară, poporul Meu s-a coborât să locuiască pentru o vreme în Egipt*Gen. 46:6.Fapte 7:14., apoi asirianul l-a asuprit fără temei. 5 Și acum, ce am să fac aici", zice Domnul, „când poporul Meu a fost luat pe nimic? Asupritorii lui strigă de bucurie", zice Domnul, „și cât e ziulica de mare este batjocorit*Ezec. 36:20,23.Rom. 2:24. Numele Meu. 6 De aceea, poporul Meu va cunoaște Numele Meu, de aceea va ști, în ziua aceea, că Eu vorbesc și zic: ‘Iată-Mă!’" 7 Ce*Zah. 1:15.Rom. 10:15. frumoase sunt pe munți picioarele celui ce aduce vești bune, care vestește pacea, picioarele celui ce aduce vești bune, care vestește mântuirea, picioarele celui ce zice Sionului: „Dumnezeul*Ps. 93:1;96:10;97:1. tău împărățește!" 8 Iată, glasul străjerilor tăi răsună; ei înalță glasul și strigă toți de veselie, căci văd cu ochii lor cum Se întoarce Domnul în Sion. 9 Izbucniți cu toate în strigăte de bucurie, dărâmături ale Ierusalimului! Își descoperă brațul Său cel sfânt înaintea tuturor neamurilor și toate*Luca 3:6. marginile pământului vor vedea mântuirea Dumnezeului nostru. 11 Plecați*Cap. 48:20.Ier. 50:8;51:6,45.Zah. 2:6,7.2 Cor. 6:17.Apoc. 18:4., plecați, ieșiți din Babilon! Nu vă atingeți de nimic necurat! Ieșiți din mijlocul lui! Curățiți-vă*Lev. 22:2., cei ce purtați vasele Domnului! 12 Nu*Exod 12:33,39. ieșiți cu grabă, nu plecați în fugă, căci*Mica 2:13. Domnul vă va ieși înainte și*Num. 10:25. Cap. 58:8.Exod 14:19. Dumnezeul lui Israel vă va tăia calea!

13 „Iată, Robul*Cap. 42:1. Meu va propăși; Se*Filip. 2:9. va sui, Se va ridica, Se va înălța foarte sus. 14 După cum pentru mulți a fost o pricină de groază – atât de schimonosită Îi era fața*Ps. 22:6,7. Cap. 53:2,3. și atât de mult se deosebea înfățișarea Lui de a fiilor oamenilor –, 15 tot așa*Ezec. 36:25.Fapte 2:33.Evr. 9:13,14., pentru multe popoare va fi o pricină de bucurie; înaintea Lui, împărații*Cap. 49:7,23. vor închide gura, căci vor vedea ce*Cap. 55:5.Rom. 15:21;16:25,26.Efes. 3:5,9. nu li se mai istorisise și vor auzi ce nu mai auziseră."
