1 But now thus saith Jehovah, that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. 2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee; when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned, neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. 3 For I am Jehovah thy God*GodHebrew: Elohim the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee. 4 Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee; and I will give men for thee, and peoples for thy life. 5 Fear not, for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west; 6 I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from afar, and my daughters from the end of the earth, 7 every one that is called by my name, and whom I have created for my glory: I have formed him, yea, I have made him.

8 Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears. 9 Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the peoples be assembled: who among them declareth this, or causeth us to hear former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified; or let them hear, and say, It is truth. 10 Ye are my witnesses, saith Jehovah, and my servant whom I have chosen; that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am HE: before me there was no ·God*GodHebrew: El formed, neither shall there be after me. 11 I, I am Jehovah; and besides me there is no saviour. 12 It is I that have declared, and have saved, and have shewed, when there was no strange god among you; and ye are my witnesses, saith Jehovah, that I am ·God*GodHebrew: El13 Yea, since the day was, I am HE, and there is none that delivereth out of my hand: I will work, and who shall hinder it?

14 Thus saith Jehovah, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought all of them down as fugitives, even the Chaldeans, whose cry is in the ships. 15 I am Jehovah, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King. 16 Thus saith Jehovah, who maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters, 17 who bringeth forth chariot and horse, army and power — they lie down together, they shall not rise; they are extinct, they are quenched as tow: 18 — Remember not the former things, neither consider the ancient things: 19 behold, I do a new thing; now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, rivers in the waste. 20 The beast of the field shall glorify me, the jackals and the ostriches; for I will give waters in the wilderness, rivers in the waste, to give drink to my people, my chosen. 21 This people have I formed for myself: they shall shew forth my praise.

22 — But thou hast not called upon me, Jacob; for thou hast been weary of me, O Israel: 23 thou hast not brought me the small cattle of thy burnt-offerings, neither hast thou glorified me with thy sacrifices. I have not caused thee to toil with an oblation, nor wearied thee with incense. 24 Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices; but thou hast made me to toil with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities. 25 — I, I am He that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and I will not remember thy sins. 26 Put me in remembrance, let us plead together; rehearse thine own cause, that thou mayest be justified. 27 Thy first father hath sinned, and thy mediators have rebelled against me. 28 And I have profaned the princes of the sanctuary, and have given Jacob to the ban, and Israel to reproaches.

Eu dau Egiptul ca preț pentru*Prov. 11:8;21:18. răscumpărarea ta, Etiopia și Saba în locul tău. 4 De aceea, pentru că ai preț în ochii Mei, pentru că ești prețuit și te iubesc, dau oameni pentru tine și popoare pentru viața ta. 5 Nu*Cap. 41:10,14;44:2.Ier. 30:10,11;46:27,28. te teme de nimic, căci Eu sunt cu tine, Eu voi aduce înapoi neamul tău de la răsărit și te voi strânge de la apus. 6 Voi zice miazănopții: ‘Dă încoace!’ și miazăzilei: ‘Nu opri, ci adu-Mi fiii din țările depărtate și fiicele de la marginea pământului: 7 pe toți cei ce poartă*Cap. 63:19.Iac. 2:7. Numele Meu și pe care i-am făcut*Ps. 100:3. Cap. 29:23.Ioan 3:3,5.2 Cor. 5:17.Efes. 2:10. spre slava Mea, pe care i-am întocmit*Vers. 1. și i-am alcătuit.’" 8 Scoate*Cap. 6:9;42:19.Ezec. 12:2. afară poporul cel orb, care totuși are ochi, și surzii, care totuși au urechi. 9 Să se strângă toate neamurile și să se adune popoarele! Cine*Cap. 41:21,22,26. dintre ei a vestit aceste lucruri? Care dintre ei ne-a făcut cele dintâi prorocii? Să-și aducă martorii și să-și dovedească dreptatea, ca să asculte oamenii și să zică: „Adevărat!" 10 „Voi*Cap. 44:8. sunteți martorii Mei", zice Domnul, „voi și*Cap. 42:1;55:4. Robul Meu pe care L-am ales, ca să știți, ca să Mă credeți și să înțelegeți că Eu sunt: înainte*Cap. 41:4;44:6. de Mine n-a fost făcut niciun Dumnezeu și după Mine nu va fi, 11 Eu, Eu sunt*Cap. 45:21.Osea 13:4. Domnul, și afară de Mine nu este niciun Mântuitor! 12 Eu am vestit, am mântuit, am prorocit, nu sunt străin*Deut. 32:16.Ps. 81:9. între voi; voi*Cap. 44:8;43:10. Îmi sunteți martori", zice Domnul, „că Eu sunt Dumnezeu. 13 Eu sunt de la*Ps. 90:2.Ioan 8:58. început și nimeni nu izbăvește din mâna Mea. Când lucrez Eu, cine se poate împotrivi*Iov 9:12. Cap. 14:27.?" 14 Așa vorbește Domnul, Răscumpărătorul vostru, Sfântul lui Israel: „Din pricina voastră trimit pe vrăjmaș împotriva Babilonului și cobor pe toți fugarii, chiar și pe haldeeni, pe corăbiile cu care se făleau. 15 Eu sunt Domnul, Sfântul vostru, Făcătorul lui Israel, Împăratul vostru." 16 Așa vorbește Domnul, care a croit*Exod 14:16,22.Ps. 77:19. Cap. 51:10. un drum pe mare și o cărare*Ios. 3:13,16. pe apele cele puternice, 17 care a*Exod 14:4,9,25. scos care și cai, o oștire și războinici viteji, culcați deodată împreună, ca să nu se mai scoale, nimiciți și stinși ca un muc de lumânare: 18 „Nu vă*Ier. 16:14;23:7. mai gândiți la ce a fost mai înainte și nu vă mai uitați la cele vechi! 19 Iată, voi face ceva*2 Cor. 5:17.Apoc. 21:5. nou și-i gata să se întâmple. Să nu-l cunoașteți voi oare? Voi face*Exod 17:6.Num. 20:11.Deut. 8:15.Ps. 78:16. Cap. 35:6; 41:18. un drum prin pustie și râuri în locuri secetoase. 20 Fiarele câmpului Mă vor slăvi, șacalii și struții, pentru că voi da*Cap. 48:21. ape în pustie și râuri în locuri secetoase, ca să adăp pe poporul Meu, pe poporul Meu cel ales, 21 poporul pe*Ps. 102:18. Vers. 1,7.Luca 1:74,75.Efes. 1:5,6. care Mi l-am alcătuit ca să vestească laudele Mele. 22 Și tu nu M-ai chemat, Iacove, căci te-ai obosit*Mal. 1:13. de Mine, Israele! 23 Nu*Amos 5:25. Mi-ai adus oile tale ca ardere-de-tot și nu M-ai cinstit cu jertfele tale. Nu te-am chinuit cu daruri de mâncare, pe care trebuia să Mi le aduci, și nu te-am obosit cu jertfe de tămâie. 24 Nu Mi-ai cumpărat trestie mirositoare cu argint și nu M-ai săturat cu grăsimea jertfelor tale, dar tu M-ai chinuit cu păcatele tale și M-ai obosit*Cap. 1:14.Mal. 2:17. cu nelegiuirile tale. 25 Eu, Eu îți șterg*Cap. 44:22;48:9.Ier. 50:20.Fapte 3:19. fărădelegile, pentru*Ezec. 36:22. Mine, și*Cap. 1:18.Ier. 31:34. nu-Mi voi mai aduce aminte de păcatele tale. 26 Adu-Mi aminte, să ne judecăm împreună, vorbește tu însuți, ca să-ți scoți dreptatea. 27 Cel dintâi tată al tău a păcătuit și învățătorii tăi s-au răzvrătit împotriva Mea. 28 De aceea, am socotit ca niște pângăriți*Cap. 47:6.Plâng. 2:2,6,7. pe căpeteniile Sfântului Locaș, am*Ps. 79:4.Ier. 24:9.Dan. 9:11.Zah. 8:13. dat pierzării pe Iacov și batjocurii pe Israel.
