1 Thus saith Jehovah to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him — and I will loose the loins of kings; to open before him the two-leaved doors, and the gates shall not be shut: 2 I will go before thee, and make the elevated places plain; I will break in pieces the brazen doors, and cut asunder the bars of iron; 3 and I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places; that thou mayest know that I, Jehovah, who call thee by name, am the God*GodHebrew: Elohim of Israel. 4 For Jacob my servant’s sake, and Israel mine elect, I have called thee by thy name; I surnamed thee, though thou didst not know me;

5 I am Jehovah, and there is none else; there is no God*GodHebrew: Elohim beside me: I girded thee, and thou hast not known me; 6 — that they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the going down, that there is none beside me. I am Jehovah, and there is none else; 7 forming the light and creating darkness, making peace and creating evil: I, Jehovah, do all these things. 8 Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness; let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and with it let righteousness spring up. I, Jehovah, have created it. 9 Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let a potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that formeth it, What makest thou? Or thy work, He hath no hands? 10 Woe unto him that saith unto his father, What begettest thou? Or to his mother, What hast thou brought forth?

11 Thus saith Jehovah, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker: Ask me of the things to come; concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands, command ye me. 12 It is I that have made the earth, and created man upon it; it is I, my hands, that have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded. 13 It is I that have raised him up in righteousness, and I will make all his ways straight: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith Jehovah of hosts. 14 Thus saith Jehovah: The wealth of Egypt, and the merchandise of Ethiopia and the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over unto thee, and they shall be thine: they shall walk after thee; in chains they shall come over, and they shall bow down unto thee, they shall make supplication unto thee, saying, Surely ·God*GodHebrew: El is in thee; and there is none else, no other God*GodHebrew: Elohim ... 15 Verily thou art a ·God*GodHebrew: El that hidest thyself, O God*GodHebrew: Elohim of Israel, the Saviour. ... 16 They shall be ashamed, and also confounded, all of them; they shall go away in confusion together, the makers of idols. 17 Israel shall be saved by Jehovah with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded, unto the ages of ages. 18 For thus saith Jehovah who created the heavens, God*GodHebrew: Elohim himself who formed the earth and made it, he who established it, — not as waste did he create it: he formed it to be inhabited: — I am Jehovah, and there is none else. 19 I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth; I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek me in vain: I am Jehovah, speaking righteousness, declaring things which are right.

20 Gather yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations. They have no knowledge that carry the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god*godHebrew: el that cannot save. 21 Declare and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath caused this to be heard from ancient time? who hath declared it long ago? Is it not I, Jehovah? And there is no God*GodHebrew: Elohim else beside me; a just ·God*GodHebrew: El and a Saviour, there is none besides me. 22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am ·God*GodHebrew: El and there is none else. 23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness and shall not return, that unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. 24 Only in Jehovah, shall one say, have I righteousness and strength. To him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed. 25 In Jehovah shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.

Cap. 37:20.Mal. 1:11. să se știe, de la răsăritul soarelui până la apusul soarelui, că, afară de Mine, nu este Dumnezeu: Eu sunt Domnul, și nu este altul. 7 Eu întocmesc lumina și fac întunericul, Eu dau propășirea și aduc restriștea*Amos 3:6., Eu, Domnul, fac toate aceste lucruri. 8 Să picure*Ps. 72:3;85:11. cerurile de sus și să plouă norii neprihănirea! Să se deschidă pământul, să dea din el mântuirea și să iasă totodată din el izbăvirea! Eu, Domnul, fac aceste lucruri. 9 Vai de cine se ceartă cu Făcătorul*Cap. 64:8. său! Un ciob dintre cioburile pământului! Oare lutul*Cap. 29:16.Ier. 18:6.Rom. 9:20. zice el celui ce-l fățuiește: ‘Ce faci?’ și lucrarea ta zice ea despre tine: ‘El n-are mâini’? 10 Vai de cine zice tatălui său: ‘Pentru ce m-ai născut?’ și mamei sale: ‘Pentru ce m-ai făcut?’" 11 Așa vorbește Domnul, Sfântul lui Israel și Făcătorul său: „Vrea cineva să Mă întrebe asupra viitorului, să-Mi poruncească pentru copiii*Ier. 31:9. Mei și pentru lucrarea*Cap. 29:23. mâinilor Mele? 12 Eu*Cap. 42:5.Ier. 27:5. am făcut pământul și am făcut*Gen. 1:26,27. pe om pe el; Eu, cu mâinile Mele, am întins cerurile și am așezat toată*Gen. 2:1. oștirea lor. 13 Eu*Cap. 41:2. am ridicat pe Cirus în dreptatea Mea și voi netezi toate cărările lui. Cap. 49:23; 60:9,10,14,16.Zah. 8:22,23. Egiptului și negoțul Etiopiei și al sabeenilor, oameni de statură înaltă, vor trece la tine și vor fi ale tale. Popoarele acestea vor merge după tine, vor trece înlănțuite*Ps. 149:8., se vor închina înaintea ta și-ți vor zice, rugându-te: ‘Numai*1 Cor. 14:25. la tine Se află Dumnezeu și nu*Vers. 5. este alt Dumnezeu afară de El.’" 15 Dar Tu ești un Dumnezeu care*Ps. 44:24. Cap. 8:17; 57:17. Te ascunzi, Tu, Dumnezeul lui Israel, Mântuitorule! 16 Toți sunt rușinați și uluiți, toți pleacă plini de ocară, făuritorii*Cap. 44:11. idolilor. 17 Dar*Cap. 26:4;45:25.Rom. 11:26. Israel va fi mântuit de Domnul cu o mântuire veșnică. Voi nu veți fi nici rușinați, nici înfruntați în veci. 18 Căci așa vorbește Domnul, Făcătorul cerurilor, singurul Dumnezeu, care*Cap. 42:5. a întocmit pământul, l-a făcut și l-a întărit, l-a făcut nu ca să fie pustiu, ci l-a întocmit ca să fie locuit: „Eu*Vers. 5. sunt Domnul, și nu este altul! 19 Eu n-am vorbit în*Deut. 30:11. Cap. 48:16. ascuns, într-un colț întunecos al pământului. Eu n-am zis seminței lui Iacov: ‘Căutați-Mă în zadar!’ Eu*Ps. 19:8;119:137,138., Domnul, spun ce este adevărat, vestesc ce este drept. 20 Strângeți-vă, veniți și apropiați-vă împreună, voi, cei scăpați dintre neamuri! N-au*Cap. 44:17,18,19;46:7;48:7.Rom. 1:22,23. nicio pricepere cei ce își duc idolul de lemn și cheamă pe un dumnezeu care nu poate*Cap. 41:22;43:9;44:7;46:10;48:14. să-i mântuiască. 21 Spuneți-le și aduceți-i încoace, ca să se sfătuiască unii cu alții! Cine a prorocit aceste lucruri de la început și le-a vestit de mult? Oare nu Eu, Domnul? Nu*Vers. 5,14,18. Cap. 44:8;46:9;48:3. este alt Dumnezeu decât Mine, Eu sunt singurul Dumnezeu drept și mântuitor, alt Dumnezeu afară de Mine nu este. 22 Întoarceți-vă*Ps. 22:27;65:5. la Mine, și veți fi mântuiți toți cei ce sunteți la marginile pământului! Căci Eu sunt Dumnezeu, și nu altul. 23 Pe*Gen. 22:16.Evr. 6:13. Mine Însumi Mă jur, adevărul iese din gura Mea și Cuvântul Meu nu va fi luat înapoi: orice*Rom. 14:11.Filip. 2:10. genunchi se va pleca înaintea Mea și orice*Gen. 31:53.Deut. 6:13.Ps. 63:11. Cap. 65:16. limbă va jura pe Mine. 24 ‘Numai în Domnul’, Mi se va zice, ‘locuiesc dreptatea*Ier. 23:5.1 Cor. 1:30. și puterea; la El vor veni și vor fi înfruntați toți*Cap. 41:11. cei ce erau mâniați împotriva Lui. 25 În*Vers. 17. Domnul vor fi făcuți*1 Cor. 1:31. neprihăniți și proslăviți toți urmașii lui Israel.’
