1 The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. 2 And it shall come to pass in the end of days, that the mountain of Jehovah’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be lifted up above the hills; and all the nations shall flow unto it. 3 And many peoples shall go and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah, to the house of the God*GodHebrew: Elohim of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths. For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and Jehovah’s word from Jerusalem. 4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall reprove many peoples; and they shall forge their swords into ploughshares, and their spears into pruning-knives: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. 5 House of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of Jehovah.

6 For thou hast cast off thy people, the house of Jacob, because they are filled with what comes from the east, and use auguries like the Philistines, and ally themselves with the children of foreigners. 7 And their land is full of silver and gold, and there is no end of their treasures: their land also is full of horses, and there is no end of their chariots. 8 And their land is full of idols; they bow themselves down to the work of their own hands, to that which their fingers have made. 9 And the mean man shall be bowed down, and the great man shall be brought low: and do not thou forgive them!

10 Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, from before the terror of Jehovah, and from the glory of his majesty. 11 The lofty eyes of man shall be brought low, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and Jehovah alone shall be exalted in that day. 12 For there shall be a day of Jehovah of hosts upon everything proud and lofty, and upon everything lifted up, and it shall be brought low; 13 and upon all the cedars of Lebanon, high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan; 14 and upon all the lofty mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up; 15 and upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall; 16 and upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant works of art. 17 And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be brought low; and Jehovah alone shall be exalted in that day: 18 and the idols shall utterly pass away. 19 And they shall go into the caves of the rocks, and into the holes of the earth, from before the terror of Jehovah, and from the glory of his majesty, when he shall arise to terrify the earth. 20 In that day men shall cast away their idols of silver and their idols of gold, which they made each for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats; 21 to go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the fissures of the cliffs, from before the terror of Jehovah, and from the glory of his majesty, when he shall arise to terrify the earth. 22 Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils; for what account is to be made of him?

Cap. 27:13. toate neamurile se vor îngrămădi spre el. 3 Popoarele se vor duce cu grămada la el și vor zice: „Veniți*Ier. 31:6;50:5.Zah. 8:21,23., să ne suim la muntele Domnului, la Casa Dumnezeului lui Iacov, ca să ne învețe căile Lui și să umblăm pe cărările Lui!" Căci*Luca 24:47. din Sion va ieși Legea și din Ierusalim, Cuvântul Domnului. 4 El va fi Judecătorul neamurilor, El va hotărî între un mare număr de popoare, așa încât din săbiile lor își vor*Ps. 46:9.Osea 2:18.Zah. 9:10. făuri fiare de plug și din sulițele lor, cosoare: niciun popor nu va mai scoate sabia împotriva altuia și nu*Ps. 72:3,7. vor mai învăța războiul. 5 Veniți, casă a lui Iacov, să umblăm*Efes. 5:8. în lumina Domnului! 6 Căci ai părăsit pe poporul Tău, pe casa lui Iacov, pentru că sunt plini de*Num. 23:7. idolii Răsăritului și dedați*Deut. 18:14. la vrăjitorie ca filistenii și*Ps. 106:35.Ier. 10:2. se unesc cu fiii străinilor. 7 Țara lor este plină*Deut. 17:16,17. de argint și de aur și comorile lor n-au sfârșit; țara este plină de cai, și carele lor sunt fără număr. 8 Dar țara lor este plină*Ier. 2:28. și de idoli, căci se închină înaintea lucrării mâinilor lor, înaintea lucrurilor făcute de degetele lor. 9 De aceea cei mici vor fi coborâți și cei mari vor fi smeriți: nu-i vei ierta. 10 Intră*Vers. 19,21.Apoc. 6:15. în stânci și ascunde-te în țărână de frica Domnului și de strălucirea măreției Lui! 11 Omul va trebui să-și plece privirea*Vers. 17. Cap. 5:15,16;13:11. semeață și îngâmfarea lui va fi smerită: numai Domnul va fi înălțat*Cap. 4:1;11:10,11;12:1,4;24:21;25:9;26:1;27:1,2,12,13;28:5;29:18;30:23;52:6.Ier. 30:7,8.Ezec. 38:14,19;39:11,22.Osea 2:16,18,21.Ioel 3:18.Amos 9:11.Obad. 8.Mica 4:6;5:10;7:11,12.Ţef. 3:11,16.Zah. 9:16. în ziua aceea. 12 Căci este o zi a Domnului oștirilor împotriva oricărui om mândru și trufaș, împotriva oricui se înalță, ca să fie plecat: 13 împotriva tuturor cedrilor*Cap. 14:8;37:24.Ezec. 31:3.Zah. 11:1,2. înalți și falnici ai Libanului și împotriva tuturor stejarilor Basanului; 14 împotriva*Cap. 30:25. tuturor munților înalți și împotriva tuturor dealurilor falnice; 15 împotriva tuturor turnurilor înalte și împotriva*1 Împ. 10:22. tuturor zidurilor întărite; 16 împotriva tuturor corăbiilor din Tarsis și împotriva tuturor lucrurilor plăcute la vedere. 17 Mândria*Vers. 11. omului va fi smerită și trufia oamenilor va fi plecată; numai Domnul va fi înălțat în*Vers. 11. ziua aceea. 18 Toți idolii vor pieri. 19 Oamenii vor intra în peșterile*Vers. 10.Osea 10:8.Luca 23:30.Apoc. 6:16;9:6. stâncilor și în crăpăturile pământului, de*2 Tes. 1:9. frica Domnului și de strălucirea măreției Lui, când Se va scula să*Cap. 30:32.Hag. 2:6,21.Evr. 12:26. îngrozească pământul. 20 În*Cap. 30:22;31:7. ziua aceea, oamenii își vor arunca idolii de argint și idolii de aur pe care și-i făcuseră ca să se închine la ei, îi vor arunca la șobolani și la lilieci 21 și*Vers. 19. vor intra în găurile stâncilor și în crăpăturile pietrelor de frica*Vers. 10,19. Domnului și de strălucirea măreției Lui, când Se va scula să îngrozească pământul. 22 Nu vă mai încredeți*Ps. 146:3.Ier. 17:5. dar în om, în*Iov 27:3. ale cărui nări nu este decât suflare! Căci ce preț are el?
