Salmos 11

To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.

1 In the LORD put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?

2 For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.*11.2 privily: Heb. in darkness

3 If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

4 The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD’s throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.

5 The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

6 Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.*11.6 an horrible…: or, a burning tempest

7 For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.

Apercibieron sus saetas sobre la cuerda,

Para asaetear en oculto á los rectos de corazón.

3 ✝ 11.3 Sal. 75.3 y 82.5. Si fueren destruídos los fundamentos,

¿Qué ha de hacer el justo?

4 ✝ 11.4 Hab. 2.20. Jehová en el templo de su santidad:

La silla de Jehová está en el cielo:

Sus ojos ven, sus párpados examinan á los hijos de los hombres.

5 ✝ 11.5 Gn. 22.1. Stg. 1.12. Jehová prueba al justo;

Empero al malo y al que ama la violencia, su alma aborrece.

6 ✝ 11.6 Gn. 19.24. Sobre los malos lloverá lazos;

Fuego y azufre, con vientos de torbellinos, ✝11.6 Sal. 75.8.será la porción del cáliz de ellos.

7 Porque el justo Jehová ✝11.7 Sal. 45.7.ama la justicia:
