Salmos 127

A Song of degrees for Solomon.

1 Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.*127.1 for…: or, of Solomon*127.1 that…: Heb. that are builders of it in it

2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.

3 Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

4 As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.

5 Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.*127.5 his…: Heb. filled his quiver with them*127.5 speak…: or, subdue, or, destroy

1 SI Jehová no edificare la casa,

En vano trabajan los que la edifican:

✝ 127.1 Sal. 121.4. Si Jehová no guardare la ciudad,

En vano vela la guarda.

1 Bendiciones de la familia.

2 "De los profundos."

2 Por demás os es el madrugar á levantaros, el veniros tarde á reposar,

Pues que á su amado dará Dios el sueño.

Cosa de estima el fruto del vientre.

4 Como saetas en mano del valiente,

Así son los hijos habidos en la juventud.

5 Bienaventurado el hombre que hinchió su aljaba de ellos:

No será avergonzado
