Salmos 63

A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.

1 O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;*63.1 thirsty: Heb. weary*63.1 where…: without water

2 To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.

3 Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.

4 Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.

5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:*63.5 marrow: Heb. fatness

6 When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.

7 Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.

8 My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.

9 But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth.

10 They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes.*63.10 They shall fall…: Heb. They shall make him run out like water by the hands of

11 But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.

Salmo de David, ✝63 1 S. 22.5.estando en el desierto de Judá.

1 DIOS, Dios mío eres tú: levantaréme á ti ✝63.1 Is. 26.9.de mañana:

✝ 63.1 Sal. 42.2. Mi alma tiene sed de ti, mi carne te desea,

En tierra de sequedad y transida sin aguas;

2 Para ver ✝63.2 Sal. 27.4.tu fortaleza y tu gloria,

Así como te he mirado en el santuario.

3 ✝ 63.3 Sal. 30.5. Porque mejor es tu misericordia que la vida:

Mis labios te alabarán.

4 Así ✝63.4 Sal. 104.33.te bendeciré en mi vida:

En tu nombre ✝63.4 Sal. 119.48.alzaré mis manos.

5 Como de meollo y de grosura será saciada mi alma;

Y con labios de júbilo te alabará mi boca,

6 Cuando ✝63.6 Sal. 42.8.me acordaré de ti en mi lecho,

Cuando meditaré de ti en las velas de la noche.

7 Porque has sido mi socorro;

Y así ✝63.7 Sal. 61.4.en la sombra de tus alas me regocijaré.

8 Está mi alma apegada á ti:

Tu diestra me ha sostenido.

9 Mas los que para destrucción buscaron mi alma,

Caerán en los ✝63.9 Sal. 86.13.sitios bajos de la tierra.

10 Destruiránlos á filo de espada;

Serán porción de las zorras.

11 Empero ✝63.11 Sal. 61.6.el rey se alegrará en Dios;

✝ 63.11 Dt. 6.13. Is. 45.23. Sof. 1.5. Será alabado cualquiera que por él jura:

Porque ✝63.11 Ro. 3.19.la boca de los que hablan mentira, será cerrada.
