4 Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?*12.4 are…: Heb. are with us

5 For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.*12.5 puffeth…: or, would ensnare him

6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.*12.7 them from: Heb. him, etc: that is, every one of them, etc

1 SALVA, oh Jehová, porque ✝12.1 Is. 57.1. Mi. 7.2.se acabaron los misericordiosos:

Porque se han acabado los fieles de entre los hijos de los hombres.

2 Mentira habla cada uno con su prójimo;

✝ 12.2 Jer. 9.8. Ro. 16.18. Con labios lisonjeros, con corazón doble hablan.

3 Destruirá Jehová todos los labios lisonjeros,

La lengua que habla grandezas,

4 Que dijeron: Por nuestra lengua prevaleceremos;

Nuestros labios están con nosotros: ¿quién nos es señor?

1 David pide el socorro de Dios.

2 Corrupción del hombre.

5 Por la opresión de los pobres, por el gemido de los menesterosos,

Pondrélos en salvo del que contra ellos se engríe.

7 Tú, Jehová, los guardarás;

Guárdalos para siempre de aquesta generación.

8 Cercando andan los malos,

Mientras son exaltados los más viles de los hijos de los hombres.
