Salmos 27

A Psalm of David.

1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.*27.2 came…: Heb. approached against me

3 Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

4 One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.*27.4 the beauty: or, the delight

5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

6 And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.*27.6 joy: Heb. shouting

7 Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.

8 When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.*27.8 When…: or, My heart said unto thee, Let my face seek thy face, etc

9 Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.

10 When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.*27.10 take…: Heb. gather me

11 Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.*27.11 a plain…: Heb. a way of plainness*27.11 mine…: Heb. those which observe me

12 Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.

13 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.

14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

1 JEHOVÁ ✝27.1 Sal. 84.11. Is. 60.20. Mi. 7.8.es mi luz y ✝27.1 Ex. 15.2.mi salvación: ¿de quién temeré?

Jehová es la fortaleza de mi vida: ¿de quién he de atemorizarme?

2 Cuando se allegaron contra mí los malignos, mis angustiadores y mis enemigos,

Para comer mis carnes, ellos tropezaron y cayeron.

3 ✝ 27.3 Sal. 3.6. Aunque se asiente campo contra mí,

No temerá mi corazón:

Aunque contra mí se levante guerra,

Yo en esto confío.

4 ✝ 27.4 Sal. 26.8. Una cosa he demandado á Jehová, ésta buscaré:

Que esté yo ✝27.4 Sal. 65.4.en la casa de Jehová todos los días de mi vida,

Para contemplar ✝27.4 Sal. 90.17.la hermosura de Jehová, y para inquirir en su templo.

5 ✝ 27.5 Sal. 31.20 y 91.1. Is. 4.6. Porque él me esconderá en su tabernáculo en el día del mal;

Ocultaráme en lo reservado de su pabellón;

Pondráme en alto sobre una roca.

6 Y luego ensalzará ✝27.6 Sal. 3.3.mi cabeza sobre mis enemigos en derredor de mí:

Y yo sacrificaré en su tabernáculo sacrificios de júbilo:

Cantaré y salmearé á Jehová.

7 Oye, oh Jehová, mi voz con que á ti clamo;

Y ten misericordia de mí, respóndeme.

8 Mi corazón ha dicho de ti: ✝27.8 Sal. 24.6 y 105.4.Buscad mi rostro.

Tu rostro buscaré, oh Jehová.

9 ✝ 27.9 Sal. 69.17. No escondas tu rostro de mí,

No apartes con ira á tu siervo:

Mi ayuda has sido;

No me dejes y no me desampares, ✝27.9 Sal. 24.5.Dios de mi salud.

10 ✝ 27.10 Is. 49.15. Aunque mi padre y mi madre me dejaran,

Jehová con todo me recogerá.

11 ✝ 27.11 Sal. 25.4. Enséñame, oh Jehová, tu camino,

Y guíame por senda de rectitud,

A causa de mis enemigos.

12 No me entregues á la voluntad de mis enemigos;

Porque ✝27.12 1 S. 22.9. Sal. 35.11.se han levantado contra mí testigos falsos, y los que ✝27.12 Hch. 9.1.respiran crueldad.

13 Hubiera yo desmayado, si no creyese que tengo de ver la bondad de Jehová

✝ 27.13 Sal. 116.9 y 142.5. En la tierra de los vivientes.

14 ✝ 27.14 Sal. 37.34. Aguarda á Jehová;

Esfuérzate, y aliéntese tu corazón:

Sí, espera á Jehová.
