Salmos 85

To the chief Musician, A Psalm for the sons of Korah.

1 LORD, thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.*85.1 for the sons: or, of the sons*85.1 favourable: or, well pleased

2 Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.

3 Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger.*85.3 thyself…: or, thine anger from waxing hot

4 Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward us to cease.

5 Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?

6 Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?

7 Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation.

8 I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.

9 Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.

10 Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

11 Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.

12 Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase.

13 Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.

1 FUISTE propicio á tu tierra, oh Jehová:

✝ 85.1 Sal. 14.7. Volviste la cautividad de Jacob.

2 ✝ 85.2 Sal. 32.1. Perdonaste la iniquidad de tu pueblo;

Todos los pecados de ellos cubriste. (Selah.)

3 Dejaste toda tu saña:

✝ 85.3 Ex. 32.12. Te volviste de la ira de tu furor.

4 ✝ 85.4 Sal. 80.3. Vuélvenos, oh Dios, salud nuestra,

Y haz cesar tu ira de sobre nosotros.

5 ✝ 85.5 Sal. 74.1. ¿Estarás enojado contra nosotros para siempre?

¿Extenderás tu ira de generación en generación?

6 ¿No volverás tú á darnos vida,

Y tu pueblo se alegrará en ti?

7 Muéstranos, oh Jehová, tu misericordia,

Y danos tu salud.

9 Ciertamente cercana está su salud á los que le temen;

✝ 85.9 Zac. 2.5. Jn. 1.14. Para que habite la gloria en nuestra tierra.

10 ✝ 85.10 Sal. 40.11 y 89.14. La misericordia y la verdad se encontraron:

✝ 85.10 Sal. 72.3. Lc. 2.14. La justicia y la paz se besaron.

11 La verdad brotará de la tierra;

Y la justicia mirará desde los cielos.

12 ✝ 85.12 Sal. 84.11. Stg. 1.17. Jehová dará también el bien;

Y nuestra ✝85.12 Sal. 67.6.tierra dará su fruto.

13 La justicia irá delante de él;

Y sus pasos pondrá en camino.
