1 Louvai a Jeová. Bom é cantar louvores a nosso Deus, Pois é agradável, decoroso é o louvor.2 Jeová edifica a Jerusalém, Congrega os dispersos de Israel.3 Ele sara os quebrantados de coração, E ata-lhes as feridas.4 Conta o número das estrelas, E a todas elas dá nome.5 Grande é o nosso Senhor, e mui poderoso, O seu entendimento é infinito.6 Jeová ampara os humildes; Dá em terra com os perversos.7 Cantai a Jeová com ação de graças, Com a harpa cantai louvores a nosso Deus,8 Que cobre de nuvens o céu, Que prepara a chuva para a terra, Que faz brotar nos montes a erva.9 Ao gado dá o alimento, E aos filhos dos corvos que clamam.10 Não se compraz na força do cavalo, Nem se deleita nas pernas do homem.11 Jeová deleita-se nos que o temem, Nos que esperam na sua benignidade.12 Louva, Jerusalém, a Jeová; Louva, Sião, ao teu Deus.13 Pois ele fortaleceu as trancas das tuas portas; Abençoou os teus filhos dentro de ti.14 Ele é quem põe em paz os teus termos, Quem te farta de flor de farinha de trigo,15 Quem sobre a terra envia o seu mandado; A sua palavra corre mui velozmente.16 Ele dá a neve como lã, E espalha a geada como cinza.17 Ele arroja o seu gelo em migalhas: Quem pode resistir ao seu frio?18 Ele envia a sua palavra, e os derrete; Faz soprar o seu vento e as águas correm.19 Ele manifesta a sua palavra a Jacó, E os seus estatutos e os seus juízos a Israel.20 Ele não tem procedido assim com nação alguma; E quanto aos seus juízos, elas não os conhecem.
