1 Compadece-te de mim, ó Deus, porque o homem quer devorar-me; Ele, pelejando, me oprime continuamente.2 Os meus inimigos querem de contínuo devorar-me, Porque são muitos os que insolentemente pelejam contra mim.3 No dia em que eu temer, Eu porei a minha confiança em ti.4 Em Deus louvarei a sua palavra; Em Deus ponho a minha confiança, não terei medo: Que me pode fazer a carne?5 Continuamente torcem as minhas palavras; Contra mim são todos os seus pensamentos para me fazerem o mal.6 Ajuntam-se, escondem-se, Espreitam os meus passos, Assim como esperam para me tirarem a vida.7 Escaparão eles pela iniqüidade? In what day soever I shall call upon thee, behold I know thou art my God.11 In God will I praise the word, in the Lord will I praise his speech. In God have I hoped, I will not fear what man can do to me.12 In me, O God, are vows to thee, which I will pay, praises to thee:13 Because thou hast delivered my soul from death, my feet from falling: that I may please in the sight of God, in the light of the living.
