Povos, aplaudi com as mãos, aclamai a Deus com vozes alegres,2 porque o Senhor é o Altíssimo, o temível, o grande Rei do universo.3 Ele submeteu a nós as nações, colocou os povos sob nossos pés,4 escolheu uma terra para nossa herança, a glória de Jacó, seu amado.5 Subiu Deus por entre aclamações, o Senhor, ao som das trombetas.6 Cantai à glória de Deus, cantai; cantai à glória de nosso rei, cantai.7 Porque Deus é o rei do universo; entoai-lhe, pois, um hino!8 Deus reina sobre as nações, Deus está em seu trono sagrado.9 Reuniram-se os príncipes dos povos ao povo do Deus de Abraão, pois a Deus pertencem os grandes da terra, a ele, o soberanamente grande.
