2 Os seus descendentes tornar-se-ão prestigiados. Sim, sem dúvida que a descendência dos que pertencem a Deus será muito abençoada!3 Serão ricos e prósperos, e as realizações das suas vidas justas não hão-de desaparecer.4 Ainda que se vejam envolvidos em trevas, sempre virá a surgir-lhes a luz!6 Um homem assim não será derrotado por circunstâncias adversas. Nunca ninguém esquecerá a honra de uma pessoa assim!7 Não terá receio de súbitas notícias desastrosas - o seu coração está seguro porque confia no Senhor!8 É por isso que não tem medo, porque sabe onde está o seu apoio e tem a certeza de que os seus inimigos serão derrotados.9 Dá com toda a liberalidade aos que necessitam. Os frutos da sua vida justa não hão-de desaparecer. Tornar-se-á grande e honrado.10 Os homens sem Deus ao verem isto ficarão enraivecidos, rangendo os dentes de raiva, consumindo-se em ódio. Os seus perversos intentos serão frustrados!

1 Hallelujah. Blessed is the man who fears Yahweh, That delights greatly in his commandments.2 His seed will be mighty on earth: The generation of the upright will be blessed.3 Wealth and riches are in his house; And his righteousness endures forever.4 To the upright there rises light in the darkness: [He is] gracious, and merciful, and righteous.5 It is well with the man who deals graciously and lends; He will maintain his cause in judgment.6 For he will never be moved; The righteous will be had in everlasting remembrance.7 He will not be afraid of evil news: His heart is fixed, trusting in Yahweh.8 His heart is established, he will not be afraid, Until he sees [his desire] on his adversaries.9 He has dispersed, he has given to the needy; His righteousness endures forever: His horn will be exalted with honor.10 The wicked will see it, and be grieved; He will gnash with his teeth, and melt away: The desire of the wicked will perish.
