1 Senhor, do desespero profundo em que caí, a ti clamo!2 Ouve-me, Senhor! Dá atenção aos meus rogos!4 Mas tu és um Deus que perdoas! E é isso que faz com que sejas temido!5 Por isso confio em ti, esperando a tua resposta, segundo o que prometeste.6 Anseio por ti, Senhor, mais ainda do que as sentinelas pelo romper da madrugada; sim, mais do que elas!8 Ele te remirá de todas as tuas iniquidades.

1 A Song of Ascents. Out of the depths I have cried to you, O Yahweh.2 Lord, hear my voice: Let your ears be attentive To the voice of my supplications.3 If you, Yah, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?4 But there is forgiveness with you, That you may be feared.5 I wait for Yahweh, my soul waits, And I hope in his word.6 My soul [waits] for the Lord More than watchmen [wait] for the morning; [Yes, more than] watchmen for the morning.7 O Israel, hope in Yahweh; For with Yahweh there is loving-kindness, And with him is plenteous redemption.8 And he will redeem Israel From all his iniquities.
