2 Glorio-me no Senhor por tudo o que me tem feito. Todos os que amam a paz se alegrarão com estas coisas.3 Louvemos juntos o Senhore falemos da excelência do seu nome.5 Muitos outros também dirigiram os seus olhos para o Senhore as suas vidas receberam a luz. Nunca mais tiveram nada de que se envergonhassem.6 Também eu, pobre de mim, chamei pelo Senhor,que me ouviue me salvou do aperto em que estava.7 O anjo do Senhor põe-se de guarda,para proteger e livrar todos os que o temem.8 Verifiquem e constatem como o Senhor é bom.9 Felizes os que confiam nele! Reverenciem-no todos os que lhe pertencem.10 Até os filhotes dos leões chegam a passar fome;mas os que buscam o Senhor não têm falta de nada.11 Filhos e filhas: venham ouvir-me,e vos ensinarei a temer o Senhor.12 Se alguém ama a vidae pretende ter muitos anos para ser feliz,13 então que tenha cuidado com a língua,e que se guarde da mentira;14 que se afaste do mal,que pratique o bem,que procure a paz e que seja constante nesse caminho.15 Os olhos do Senhor estão sempre a vigiarpara proteger a vida dos que se conduzem com justiça; os seus ouvidos estão atentos quando chamam por ele.16 Mas Deus é contra os que praticam o mal,e está mesmo disposto a apagar de sobre a terra a lembrança deles.17 Os que são rectos clamam por Deus,e Deus responde-lhes,livrando-os de todas as suas aflições.18 Perto está o Senhor de todos os que têm o coração triste,e liberta os que estão com o coração carregadode remorso e angústia.19 Muitas são as aflições que o recto tem na vida,mas o Senhor o livra de todas elas.20 Até o seu corpo está guardado por Deus,nenhum dos seus ossos será quebrado.21 A calamidade atingirá certamente os maus;e os que aborrecem os rectos serão severamente castigados.22 Mas o Senhor pagará o preço para libertar a alma dos que o servem,de tal forma que nenhum dos que confiam nele será condenado.

1 A Psalm of David; when he changed his behavior before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed. I will bless Yahweh at all times: His praise will continually be in my mouth.2 My soul will make her boast in Yahweh: The meek will hear of it, and be glad.3 Oh magnify Yahweh with me, And let us exalt his name together.4 I sought Yahweh, and he answered me, And delivered me from all my fears.5 They looked to him, and were radiant; And their faces will never be confounded.6 This poor man cried, and Yahweh heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles.7 The angel of Yahweh encamps round about those who fear him, And delivers them.8 Oh taste and see that Yahweh is good: Blessed is the [noble] man who takes refuge in him.9 Oh fear Yahweh, you{+} his saints; For there is no want to those who fear him.10 The young lions lack, and suffer hunger; But those who seek Yahweh will not want any good thing.11 Come, you{+} sons, listen to me: I will teach you{+} the fear of Yahweh.12 What man is he who desires life, And loves [many] days, that he may see good?13 Keep your tongue from evil, And your lips from speaking guile.14 Depart from evil, and do good; Seek peace, and pursue it.15 The eyes of Yahweh are toward the righteous, And his ears are [open] to their cry.16 The face of Yahweh is against those who do evil, To cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.17 [The righteous] cried, and Yahweh heard, And delivered them out of all their troubles.18 Yahweh is near to those who are of a broken heart, And saves such as are of a contrite spirit.19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous; But Yahweh delivers him out of them all.20 He keeps all his bones: Not one of them is broken.21 Evil will slay the wicked; And those who hate the righteous will be condemned.22 Yahweh redeems the soul of his slaves; And none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned.
