2 E agora aqui estamos, Jerusalém, pisando o teu chão, dentro das tuas portas!3 Aqui estamos nesta grande cidade, cheia de gente!5 É aqui que se encontram os tronos de julgamento, os tronos da casa de David.7 Que haja paz no teu interior, e felicidade nas tuas casas!8 É pensando no bem dos meus irmãos e dos meus amigos que repito: Haja paz no teu seio!9 É também por causa do templo do Senhor, que desejo profundamente a tua ventura!

1 A Song of Ascents; of David. I was glad when they said to me, Let us go to the house of Yahweh.2 Our feet are standing Inside your gates, O Jerusalem,3 Jerusalem is built As a city that is compact together;4 Where the tribes go up, even the tribes of Yah, [For] an ordinance for Israel, To give thanks to the name of Yahweh.5 For there are set thrones for judgment, The thrones of the house of David.6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: They who love you will prosper.7 Peace be inside your walls, And prosperity inside your palaces.8 For my brothers and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be inside you.9 For the sake of the house of Yahweh our God I will seek your good.
