1 To the choirmaster: according to Do Not Destroy. A Psalm of Asaph. A Song.2 We give thanks to thee, O God; we give thanks; we call on thy name and recount thy wondrous deeds.3 At the set time which I appoint I will judge with equity.4 When the earth totters, and all its inhabitants, it is I who keep steady its pillars. [Selah]5 I say to the boastful, "Do not boast," and to the wicked, "Do not lift up your horn;6 do not lift up your horn on high, or speak with insolent neck."7 For not from the east or from the west and not from the wilderness comes lifting up;8 but it is God who executes judgment, putting down one and lifting up another.9 For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, with foaming wine, well mixed; and he will pour a draught from it, and all the wicked of the earth shall drain it down to the dregs.10 But I will rejoice for ever, I will sing praises to the God of Jacob. [ (Psalms 75:11) All the horns of the wicked he will cut off, but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted. ]

1 Nós te damos graças, ó Deus,

nós damos graças.

Anunciamos a tua grandeza

e contamos as coisas maravilhosas

que tens feito.

2 Deus diz: "Eu marquei um tempo certo

para o julgamento

e julgarei com justiça.

3 Ainda que a terra trema,

e todos os seus moradores estremeçam,

eu manterei firmes as suas bases.

4 Digo aos maus que não contem grandezas,

que não sejam orgulhosos;

5 digo que parem de se gabar

do seu poder

e de falar com arrogância."

6 Pois o julgamento não vem do Leste,

nem do Oeste,

nem do Norte, nem do Sul.

7 É Deus quem julga;

é ele quem declara que uns

são culpados

e que outros são inocentes.

8 O Senhor Deus tem na sua mão uma taça

cheia do vinho forte da sua ira.

Ele serve o vinho, e todos os maus

o bebem,

bebem até a última gota.

9 Porém eu sempre falarei

a respeito do Deus de Jacó

e lhe cantarei louvores.

10 Ele quebrará o poder dos maus;

mas o poder dos que obedecem a Deus

crescerá.
