Pastores iníquos e o Renovo justo

1 *Ez 13.3;34.2;Zc 11.17Ai dos pastores que *Jr 10.21;50.6;Is 56.9-12destroem e dispersam *Ez 34.31as ovelhas do meu pasto! — diz Jeová. 2 Portanto, assim diz Jeová, Deus de Israel, *Jr 23.30contra os pastores que apascentam o meu povo: Vós dispersastes o meu rebanho, e o afugentastes, e não o visitastes. Eis que *Êx 32.34visitarei sobre vós *Jr 21.12;44.22a maldade dos vossos feitos, diz Jeová. 3 De todos os países para onde os tiver afugentado, ajuntarei *Jr 31.7-8;32.37;Is 11.11-16os que restam do meu rebanho e os farei voltar para as suas habitações; frutificarão e se multiplicarão. 4 Levantarei sobre eles *Jr 3.15;31.10;Ez 34.23pastores que os apascentarão. Nunca *Jr 30.10;46.27-28mais terão medo, nem se espantarão; *Jo 6.39;10.28;1Pe 1.5nem do seu número faltará nenhum, diz Jeová.

5 Eis que vêm dias, diz Jeová, em que levantarei a Davi um *Jr 30.9;33.15-16;Is 4.2;11.1-5;53.2;Zc 3.8;6.12-13Renovo justo, que como rei *Is 9.7;52.13;Lc 1.32-33reinará, procederá sabiamente e *Sl 72.2executará o juízo e a justiça na terra. 6 Nos seus dias, será salvo Judá, e *Jr 30.10;Dt 33.28;Zc 14.11Israel habitará seguro; este é o *Is 7.14;9.6;Mt 1.21-23nome de que será chamado: *Jr 33.16;Is 45.24-25;54.17;Dn 9.24;Rm 3.22Jeová é a Nossa Justiça. 7 *Jr 16.14-15;Is 43.18-19Portanto, vêm os dias, diz Jeová, em que nunca mais dirão: Pela vida de Jeová, que tirou os filhos de Israel da terra do Egito; 8 mas: Pela vida de Jeová, que *Is 14.1;43.5-6;Ez 34.13;Am 9.14-15tirou e trouxe a linhagem da casa de Israel da terra boreal e de todos os países para onde eu os tinha arrojado; e habitarão na sua terra.

Os falsos profetas de Judá e de Samaria são denunciados

9 Acerca dos profetas. *Jr 8.18;Hc 3.16O meu coração está quebrantado dentro de mim, todos os meus ossos tremem; *Jr 20.8-9por causa de Jeová e por causa das suas santas palavras, estou feito como um homem bêbado e como um homem vencido do vinho. 10 Pois a terra está cheia de *Jr 9.2;Os 4.2-3;Ml 3.5adúlteros. A terra *Jr 12.4chora por causa da maldição; *Jr 9.10;Sl 107.34os pastos do ermo se secam. A carreira dos adúlteros é má, e a sua força não é reta. 11 Pois tanto o profeta como o sacerdote são *Jr 6.13;8.10profanos; até na minha *Jr 7.9-10;32.34casa achei a sua maldade, diz Jeová. 12 Pelo que o seu caminho lhes será como *Jr 13.16;Sl 35.6lugares escorregadios *Is 8.22;Jo 12.35nas trevas; serão impelidos e cairão nele, porque farei vir sobre eles *Jr 11.23males, o ano da sua visitação, diz Jeová.

13 *Os 9.7-8Nos profetas da Samaria, vi o que causa desgosto; *Jr 2.8;1Rs 18.18-21profetizavam em nome de Baal *Jr 23.32e faziam errar o meu povo de Israel. 14 Mas nos profetas de Jerusalém vi *Jr 5.30uma coisa horrorosa: cometem *Jr 29.23adultérios, e andam em *Jr 14.14mentiras, e fortalecem as mãos dos *Jr 23.22;Ez 13.22-23malfeitores, para que não se converta cada um da sua maldade. Todos eles têm-se tornado para mim como *Jr 20.16;49.18;Is 1.9-10;Mt 11.24Sodoma, e os moradores de Jerusalém, como Gomorra. 15 Portanto, assim diz Jeová dos Exércitos acerca dos profetas: Eis que *Jr 8.14;9.15;Dt 29.18os alimentarei de absinto e lhes darei de beber água de fel; porque dos profetas de Jerusalém saiu a *Jr 23.11contaminação de toda a terra.

16 Assim diz Jeová dos Exércitos: *Jr 27.9-10,14-17;1Jo 4.1Não escuteis as palavras dos profetas que vos profetizam a vós. *Mt 7.15;2Co 11.13-15;Gl 1.8-9Enchem-vos de vãs esperanças; falam *Jr 14.14;Ez 13.3,6a visão do seu coração e não *Jr 9.12,20segundo a boca de Jeová. 17 Dizem continuamente aos que me *Mq 2.11desprezam: *Jr 23.31Jeová falou: *Jr 8.11Vós tereis a paz; e a todo o que anda na *Jr 13.10;18.12obstinação do seu coração dizem: *Jr 5.12;Am 9.10;Mq 3.11Não virá mal sobre vós. 18 Pois *Jr 23.22;Jó 15.8-9quem assistiu no concílio de Jeová, para que percebesse e ouvisse a sua palavra? Quem *Jó 33.31escutou a minha palavra e a ouviu? 19 Eis que a *Jr 30.23;Am 1.14tempestade de Jeová, seu furor, já saiu, uma tempestade remoinhosa; descarregar-se-á sobre a cabeça dos iníquos. 20 A *Jr 30.24;Is 55.11;Zc 1.6ira de Jeová não retrocederá, até que tenha ele executado e até que tenha cumprido os desígnios do seu coração; nos últimos dias, entendereis isso perfeitamente. 21 Eu *Jr 23.32;Jr 14.14;27.15não enviei esses profetas; contudo, eles correram; eu não lhes falei; todavia, profetizaram. 22 Porém, se tivessem *Jr 23.18;Jr 9.12assistido no meu concílio, *Jr 35.15;Zc 1.4;1Ts 1.9-10teriam feito o meu povo ouvir as minhas palavras e o teriam desviado do seu mau caminho e da maldade dos seus feitos.

23 Acaso, sou eu Deus *Sl 139.1-10de perto, diz Jeová, e não sou Deus *Jr 51.50;Sl 113.5;Jn 1.3-4de longe? 24 Pode alguém *Jr 49.10;Jó 22.13-14;Sl 139.7-12;Is 29.15ocultar-se em lugares escondidos, que eu não o verei? — diz Jeová. *1Rs 8.27;Is 66.1Porventura, não encho eu o céu e a terra? — diz Jeová. 25 Tenho *Jr 8.6;1Co 4.5ouvido o que dizem os profetas que em meu nome *Jr 14.14profetizam mentiras, dizendo: *Jr 23.28,32;Jr 29.8;Nm 12.6;Jl 2.28Sonhei, sonhei. 26 Até quando se achará isso no coração dos profetas que profetizam mentiras, dos profetas do *1Tm 4.1-2engano do seu coração? 27 Os quais *Jr 29.8;Dt 13.1-3fazem que o meu povo se esqueça do meu nome pelos sonhos deles, que cada um conta ao seu próximo, assim como os seus pais se *Jz 3.7;8.33-34esqueceram do meu nome por causa de Baal. 28 O profeta que tem um sonho conte *Jr 23.25um sonho; e o que tem a minha palavra fale *Jr 9.12,20a minha palavra fielmente. *1Co 3.12-13Que tem a palha com o trigo? — diz Jeová. 29 Acaso, não é a minha palavra como *Jr 5.14;20.9fogo? — diz Jeová; e como um *2Co 10.4-5martelo que faz as pedras em pedaços? 30 Portanto, eis que eu sou *Jr 23.2;Sl 34.16;Ez 13.8contra os profetas, diz Jeová, que furtam as minhas palavras cada um ao seu próximo. 31 Eis que eu sou contra os profetas, diz Jeová, que usam as suas línguas e *Jr 23.17dizem: Ele diz. 32 Eis que eu sou contra os que profetizam *Jr 23.25;Dt 13.1-2sonhos mentirosos, diz Jeová, *Jr 23.28e os referem, *Jr 23.13e fazem errar o meu povo com as suas mentiras e com a sua vã jactância; *Jr 23.21;Lm 3.37eu não os enviei, nem lhes dei ordem. *Jr 7.8;Lm 2.14Nada aproveitarão eles a este povo, diz Jeová.

33 Quando te perguntar este povo, ou o profeta, ou um sacerdote: Qual é o *Is 13.1;Na 1.1;Hc 1.1;Zc 9.1oráculo de Jeová? Então, lhes responderás: Que oráculo! *Jr 23.39;Jr 12.7Arrojar-vos-ei, diz Jeová. 34 Quanto ao profeta, e ao sacerdote, e ao povo que disser: *Lm 2.14;Zc 13.3Oráculo de Jeová, castigarei aquele homem e sua casa. 35 Assim direis, cada um ao seu próximo e a cada um a seu irmão: *Jr 33.3;42.4Que respondeu Jeová? E: Que falou Jeová? 36 Mas nunca mais mencionareis o oráculo de Jeová, porque a cada um lhe serve de oráculo a sua própria palavra, e *2Pe 3.16perverteis as palavras do *Jr 10.10;2Rs 19.4Deus vivo, de Jeová dos Exércitos, nosso Deus. 37 Assim dirás ao profeta: Que respondeu Jeová? E: Que falou Jeová? 38 Se, porém, disserdes: O oráculo de Jeová, portanto, assim diz Jeová: Porque dizeis esta palavra: Oráculo de Jeová, e eu vos enviei a dizer: Não direis: Oráculo de Jeová; 39 portanto, eis-me aqui, e *Jr 23.33;Jr 7.14-15;Ez 8.18certamente vos tomarei, e vos lançarei fora da minha presença a vós, e a cidade que vos dei a vós, e a vossos pais; 40 e trarei sobre vós *Jr 20.11;42.18;Ez 5.14-15sempiterno opróbrio e perpétua vergonha, que jamais será esquecida.

1 Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD. 2 Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD. 3 And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase. 4 And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the LORD.

5 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. 6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.*23.6 THE LORD…: Heb. Jehovah-tsidkenu 7 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that they shall no more say, The LORD liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt; 8 But, The LORD liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.

9 Mine heart within me is broken because of the prophets; all my bones shake; I am like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine hath overcome, because of the LORD, and because of the words of his holiness. 10 For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourneth; the pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up, and their course is evil, and their force is not right.*23.10 swearing: or, cursing*23.10 course: or, violence 11 For both prophet and priest are profane; yea, in my house have I found their wickedness, saith the LORD. 12 Wherefore their way shall be unto them as slippery ways in the darkness: they shall be driven on, and fall therein: for I will bring evil upon them, even the year of their visitation, saith the LORD. 13 And I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied in Baal, and caused my people Israel to err.*23.13 folly: or, an absurd thing: Heb. unsavoury 14 I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.*23.14 an…: or, filthiness 15 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land.*23.15 profaneness: or, hypocrisy 16 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD. 17 They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.*23.17 imagination: or, stubbornness 18 For who hath stood in the counsel of the LORD, and hath perceived and heard his word? who hath marked his word, and heard it?*23.18 counsel: or, secret 19 Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked. 20 The anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly. 21 I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. 22 But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings. 23 Am I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off? 24 Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD. 25 I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed. 26 How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart; 27 Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal. 28 The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the LORD.*23.28 that hath a dream: Heb. with whom is, etc 29 Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces? 30 Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that steal my words every one from his neighbour. 31 Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith.*23.31 that…: or, that smooth their tongues 32 Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.

33 And when this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask thee, saying, What is the burden of the LORD? thou shalt then say unto them, What burden? I will even forsake you, saith the LORD. 34 And as for the prophet, and the priest, and the people, that shall say, The burden of the LORD, I will even punish that man and his house.*23.34 punish: Heb. visit upon 35 Thus shall ye say every one to his neighbour, and every one to his brother, What hath the LORD answered? and, What hath the LORD spoken? 36 And the burden of the LORD shall ye mention no more: for every man’s word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the LORD of hosts our God. 37 Thus shalt thou say to the prophet, What hath the LORD answered thee? and, What hath the LORD spoken? 38 But since ye say, The burden of the LORD; therefore thus saith the LORD; Because ye say this word, The burden of the LORD, and I have sent unto you, saying, Ye shall not say, The burden of the LORD; 39 Therefore, behold, I, even I, will utterly forget you, and I will forsake you, and the city that I gave you and your fathers, and cast you out of my presence: 40 And I will bring an everlasting reproach upon you, and a perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten.
