Deus promete trazer do cativeiro o seu povo

1 A palavra que da parte de Jeová veio a Jeremias, dizendo: 2 Assim diz Jeová, Deus de Israel: *Jr 25.13;36.4,28,32;Hc 2.2Escreve num livro todas as palavras que te falei. 3 Pois eis que *Jr 29.10vêm os dias, diz Jeová, em que *Jr 30.18;Jr 29.14;Sl 53.6;Sf 3.20farei voltar o cativeiro do meu povo *Jr 3.18de Israel e de Judá, diz Jeová; *Jr 16.15;23.7-8;Ez 20.42;36.24fá-los-ei voltar para a terra que dei a seus pais, e eles a possuirão.

4 São estas as palavras que Jeová falou acerca de Israel e acerca de Judá. 5 Assim diz Jeová: Ouvimos uma voz *Jr 6.25;8.16;Is 5.30;Am 5.16-18de tremor; pavor há, e não paz. 6 Perguntai, vede se o homem está com dores de parto; porque vejo terem todos os homens as *Jr 6.24;22.23mãos sobre os lombos, como *Jr 4.31a mulher que está de parto, e por que empalideceram todos os rostos? 7 Ah! Que é *Is 2.12;Os 1.11;Jl 2.11grande aquele dia, de sorte *Lm 1.12;Dn 9.12que não há outro semelhante; e tempo é de *Jr 2.27-28;14.8tribulação para Jacó, mas *Jr 30.10;Jr 50.19dele será livre. 8 Naquele dia, diz Jeová, *Jr 2.20;Is 9.4;Ez 34.27quebrarei o seu jugo de sobre o teu pescoço e romperei *Jr 27.2as tuas brochas. Nunca mais estrangeiros *Ez 34.27se servirão dele, 9 mas este servirá a Jeová, seu Deus, e a *Is 55.3-5;Ez 34.23-24;37.24-25;Os 3.5;Lc 1.69;At 2.30;13.23,34,38Davi, seu rei, que lhe suscitarei. 10 *Jr 46.27-28;Is 43.5;44.2Portanto, não temas, servo meu, Jacó, nem te espantes, Israel. Pois eis que *Jr 23.3,8;29.14;Is 60.4da terra longínqua te salvarei e, da terra do seu cativeiro, os teus descendentes; Jacó voltará e ficará *Jr 33.16;Is 35.9;Os 2.18tranquilo e sossegado, *Mq 4.4e ninguém o atemorizará. 11 Eu sou *Jr 1.8,19contigo, diz Jeová, para te salvar; por isso, *Jr 46.28destruirei totalmente todas as nações entre as quais te espalhei. A ti, porém, *Jr 4.27;5.10,18não te destruirei de todo; mas *Jr 10.24castigar-te-ei com juízo e, de maneira alguma, te terei por inocente.

12 Pois assim diz Jeová: *Jr 30.15;Jr 15.18Incurável é a tua fratura, e gravíssima, a tua ferida. 13 Não há quem pleiteie a tua causa. Para a tua ferida, *Jr 14.19;46.11não tens remédios nem emplasto. 14 Todos os teus *Jr 22.20,22amantes já se esqueceram de ti; não te procuram. Pois *Lm 2.4-5te feri com ferida de inimigo e com castigo de quem *Jr 6.23;50.42é cruel, porque *Jr 5.6;32.30-35;44.22grande é a tua iniquidade, e têm-se multiplicado os teus pecados. 15 Por que gritas por causa da tua fratura? Incurável é a tua dor. Por ser grande a tua iniquidade e por se terem multiplicado os teus pecados é que te fiz essas coisas. 16 Portanto, todos os que *Jr 2.3;8.16;10.25te devoram serão devorados, e todos os teus adversários *Is 14.2;Jl 3.8serão levados, cada um deles para o cativeiro; *Jr 50.10os que te despojam serão despojados, e entregarei ao saque todos os que te saqueiam. 17 Pois te restaurarei *Jr 8.22;33.6;Sl 107.20a saúde e te curarei das tuas feridas, diz Jeová; porque te chamaram *Jr 33.24;Is 11.12;56.8repudiada, dizendo: É ela Sião, a qual ninguém procura.

18 Assim diz Jeová: Eis que *Jr 30.3;Jr 31.23farei voltar o cativeiro das tendas de Jacó e me compadecerei das suas moradas; *Jr 31.4,38-40a cidade será reedificada sobre o seu montão, e *1Cr 29.1,19;Sl 48.3,13;122.7o palácio será habitado como dantes. 19 Sairá deles *Jr 17.26;33.11;Is 12.1;51.3ação de graças e a voz dos *Jr 31.4;Sl 126.1-2;Is 51.11;Sf 3.14que se alegram. *Jr 33.22Multiplicá-los-ei, e não serão diminuídos; também *Is 55.5;60.9os glorificarei, e não serão apoucados. 20 Seus *Jr 31.17;Is 54.13filhos serão como em tempos passados, e a sua congregação será *Is 54.14estabelecida diante de mim, e castigarei todos os que os oprimem. 21 Deles sairá *Jr 30.9;Jr 23.6;33.16;Ez 34.23-24;37.24o seu príncipe, e, do meio deles, o seu regente; *Nm 16.5;Sl 65.4fá-lo-ei aproximar, e ele se chegará a mim. Pois quem jamais ousou *Jr 50.44;Êx 3.5chegar-se a mim? — diz Jeová. 22 Vós sereis o *Jr 32.38;Êx 6.7;Os 2.23;Zc 13.9meu povo, eu serei o vosso Deus.

23 Eis que *Jr 23.19-20a tempestade de Jeová, seu furor, já saiu, sim, uma tempestade varredeira; descarregar-se-á sobre a cabeça dos iníquos. 24 Não retrocederá *Jr 4.8o ardor da ira de Jeová, até que ele tenha executado e até que tenha cumprido os desígnios do seu coração. *Jr 23.20Nos últimos dias, entendereis isso.

1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, 2 Thus speaketh the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book. 3 For, lo, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.

4 And these are the words that the LORD spake concerning Israel and concerning Judah. 5 For thus saith the LORD; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace.*30.5 of fear…: or, there is fear, and not peace 6 Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?*30.6 a man: Heb. a male 7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it. 8 For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him: 9 But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.

10 Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid. 11 For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished. 12 For thus saith the LORD, Thy bruise is incurable, and thy wound is grievous. 13 There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines.*30.13 that…: Heb. for binding up, or, pressing 14 All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not; for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased. 15 Why criest thou for thine affliction? thy sorrow is incurable for the multitude of thine iniquity: because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee. 16 Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey. 17 For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.

18 Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob’s tents, and have mercy on his dwellingplaces; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof.*30.18 heap: or, little hill 19 And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small. 20 Their children also shall be as aforetime, and their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all that oppress them. 21 And their nobles shall be of themselves, and their governor shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is this that engaged his heart to approach unto me? saith the LORD. 22 And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God. 23 Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked.*30.23 continuing: Heb. cutting*30.23 fall…: or, remain 24 The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it.
