1 အ​ကျွန်ုပ်​သည် ဆင်း​ရဲ​ခံ​ရ​သော​အ​ခါ ထာ​ဝ​ရ​ဘု​ရား​ကို​အော်​ဟစ်၍၊ ထာ​ဝ​ရ​ဘု​ရား​သည် နား​ထောင်​တော်​မူ၏။ 2 အို​ထာ​ဝ​ရ​ဘု​ရား၊ အ​ကျွန်ုပ်​အ​သက်​ကို သ​စ္စာ​မ​ရှိ​သော​နှုတ်​မှ​လည်း​ကောင်း၊ လှည့်​စား​တတ်​သော လျှာ​မှ​လည်း​ကောင်း ကယ်​နုတ်​တော်​မူ​ပါ။ 3 အို လှည့်​စား​တတ်​သော​လျှာ၊ သင်​သည် အ​ဘယ်​ကျေး​ဇူး​ရှိ​သ​နည်း။ အ​ဘယ်​အ​ကျိုး​ကို ခံ​ရ​သ​နည်း။ 4 အား​ကြီး​သော​သူ၏ ထက်​သော​မြား​ကဲ့​သို့​လည်း​ကောင်း၊ ရ​သမ်​သစ်​သား မီး​ခဲ​ကဲ့​သို့​လည်း​ကောင်း ဖြစ်၏။ 5 ငါ​သည် မေ​ရှက်​ပြည်၌ တည်း​ခို၍၊ ကေ​ဒါ​တဲ၌​နေ​ရ​သည်​အ​ရာ​မှာ အ​မင်္ဂ​လာ​ရှိ၏။ 6 ငြိမ်​သက်​ခြင်း​ကို မုန်း​သော​သူ​တို့​နှင့်​အ​တူ၊ ငါ့​ဝိ​ညာဉ်​သည် ကြာ​မြင့်​စွာ​နေ​ရ​ပါ​သည်​တ​ကား။ 7 ငါ​သည် ငြိမ်​သက်​ခြင်း​ဘက်​မှာ နေ၏။ ငါ​ပြော​လျှင်​မူ​ကား၊ သူ​တို့​သည် စစ်​တိုက်​ခြင်း​ငှာ အ​လို​ရှိ​ကြ၏။

A Song of degrees.

1 In my trouble I called unto Jehovah, and he answered me. 2 Jehovah, deliver my soul from the lying lip, from the deceitful tongue. 3 What shall be given unto thee, what shall be added unto thee, thou deceitful tongue? 4 Sharp arrows of a mighty one, with burning coals of broom-wood.

5 Woe is me, that I sojourn in Meshech, that I dwell among the tents of Kedar! 6 My soul hath long dwelt with them that hate peace. 7 I am for peace; but when I speak, theyare for war.
