1 ဗာဗုလုန်မြစ်တို့အနားမှာ ငါတို့သည်ထိုင်၍၊ ဇိအုန်မြို့ကိုအောက်မေ့လျက် ငိုကြွေးကြ၏။ 2 ငါတို့စောင်းများကိုလည်း ထိုအရပ်တွင် မိုးမခပင်တို့၌ ဆွဲထားကြ၏။ 3 အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ထိုအရပ်၌ ငါတို့ကို ဖမ်းသွားချုပ်ထားသောသူနှင့်၊ ငါတို့ကို ညှဉ်းဆဲသောသူတို့က၊ ဇိအုန်သီချင်းကို ငါတို့အားဆိုကြလော့ဟု၊ သီချင်းဆိုသံကိုလည်းကောင်း၊ ရွှင်လန်းသောအသံကိုလည်းကောင်း ငါတို့၌ တောင်းကြပါသည်တကား။ 4 တစ်ကျွန်းတစ်နိုင်ငံ၌ ထာဝရဘုရား၏သီချင်းကို အဘယ်သို့ ဆိုရပါမည်နည်း။ 5 အိုယေရုရှလင်မြို့၊ သင့်ကို ငါမေ့လျှင် ငါ့လက်ယာလက်သည် မိမိအတတ်ကိုမေ့ပါစေ။ 6 သင့်ကို ငါမအောက်မေ့၊ အမြတ်ဆုံးသော ဝမ်းမြောက်ခြင်းအကြောင်းထက်၊ ယေရုရှလင်မြို့ကို အမြတ်မထားလျှင်၊ ငါ့လျှာသည် အာခေါင်၌ကပ်ပါစေ။
7 အိုထာဝရဘုရား၊ ယေရုရှလင်မြို့၏ နေ့ရက်အချိန်ရောက်သောအခါ၊ မြို့ရိုးကို အမြစ်တိုင်အောင် ရှင်းလိုက်ကြ၊ ရှင်းလိုက်ကြဟု ဆိုကြသော ဧဒုံအမျိုးသားတို့ကို အောက်မေ့တော်မူပါ။ 8 ဖျက်ဆီးတတ်သော ဗာဗုလုန်မင်းသမီး၊ သင်သည် ငါတို့၌ပြုသည်အတိုင်း၊ သင်၌ အပြစ်ကို ဆပ်ပေးသောသူသည် မင်္ဂလာရှိ၏။ 9 သင်၏သူငယ်တို့ကိုကိုင်ယူ၍၊ ကျောက်ပေါ်မှာဆောင့်သောသူသည် မင်္ဂလာရှိ၏။ဗျာ၊ ၁၈:၆။
1 By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down; yea, we wept when we remembered Zion. 2 We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof. 3 For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that made us wail required mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion. 4 How should we sing a song of Jehovah’s upon a foreign soil? 5 If I forget thee, Jerusalem, let my right hand forget its skill; 6 If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to my palate: if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy.
7 Remember, O Jehovah, against the sons of Edom, the day of Jerusalem; who said, Lay it bare, Lay it bare, down to its foundation! 8 Daughter of Babylon, who art to be laid waste, happy he that rendereth unto thee that which thou hast meted out to us. 9 Happy he that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the rock.
