Salmos 125

Cântico de peregrinação.

1 Os que confiam no Senhor são como o monte Sião,

que não pode ser abalado, mas permanece para sempre.

2 Como os montes cercam Jerusalém,

assim o Senhor protege o seu povo,

desde agora e para sempre.

3 O cetro dos ímpios não prevalecerá

sobre a terra designada aos justos,

para que os justos não façam o mal

com as próprias mãos.

4 Senhor, trata com bondade os que são bons,

os que têm coração íntegro.

5 Quanto aos que se desviam por caminhos tortuosos,

o Senhor os eliminará com os malfeitores.

A song of ascents.

1 Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion,

which cannot be shaken but endures forever.

2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem,

so the Lord surrounds his people

both now and forevermore.

3 The scepter of the wicked will not remain

over the land allotted to the righteous,

for then the righteous might use

their hands to do evil.

4 Lord, do good to those who are good,

to those who are upright in heart.

5 But those who turn to crooked ways

the Lord will banish with the evildoers.
