1 Batam palmas, vocês, todos os povos;

aclamem a Deus com cantos de alegria.

2 Pois o Senhor Altíssimo é temível,

é o grande Rei de toda a terra!

3 Ele subjugou as nações ao nosso poder;

pôs os povos debaixo dos nossos pés;

4 escolheu para nós a nossa herança,

o orgulho de Jacó, a quem amou. Pausa

5 Deus subiu em meio a gritos de alegria;

o Senhor, em meio ao som de trombetas.

6 Cantem, cantem louvores a Deus!

Cantem, cantem louvores ao nosso Rei!

7 Pois Deus é o rei de toda a terra;

8 Deus reina sobre as nações;

Deus está assentado no seu santo trono.

9 Os soberanos das nações se juntam

ao povo do Deus de Abraão,

pois os governantes*47.9 Hebraico: escudos. da terra pertencem a Deus.

Ele é soberanamente exaltado!

1 Clap your hands, all you nations;

shout to God with cries of joy.

2 For the Lord Most High is awesome,

the great King over all the earth.

3 He subdued nations under us,

peoples under our feet.

4 He chose our inheritance for us,

the pride of Jacob, whom he loved.*47:4 The Hebrew has Selah (a word of uncertain meaning) here.

5 God has ascended amid shouts of joy,

the Lord amid the sounding of trumpets.

6 Sing praises to God, sing praises;

sing praises to our King, sing praises.

7 For God is the King of all the earth;

sing to him a psalm of praise.

8 God reigns over the nations;

God is seated on his holy throne.

9 The nobles of the nations assemble

as the people of the God of Abraham,

he is greatly exalted.
