1 Ó Deus, não fiques em silêncio!

Não feches os ouvidos

e não permaneças calado, ó Deus!

2 Não ouves o tumulto de teus adversários?

Não vês que teus inimigos te desafiam?

3 Tramam com astúcia contra o teu povo;

conspiram contra os teus protegidos.

4 Dizem: "Venham, exterminemos a nação de Israel,

para que ninguém se lembre de sua existência".

5 Sim, em unanimidade decidiram;

fizeram um tratado e aliaram-se contra ti

6 os edomitas e os ismaelitas,

os moabitas e os hagarenos,

7 os gebalitas, os amonitas e os amalequitas,

os povos da Filístia e de Tiro.

8 A eles também se uniram os assírios

e se aliaram aos descendentes de Ló.

9 Trata-os como trataste os midianitas,

como trataste Sísera e Jabim no rio Quisom.

10 Foram destruídos em En-Dor;

tornaram-se adubo para a terra.

11 Que seus nobres morram como Orebe e Zeebe,

e todos os seus príncipes, como Zeba e Zalmuna,

12 pois disseram: "Vamos nos apossar

das pastagens de Deus!".

13 Ó meu Deus, espalha-os como folhas num redemoinho,

como palha ao vento.

14 Assim como o fogo consome o bosque,

como a chama incendeia os montes,

15 persegue-os com a tua tempestade,

enche-os de medo com o teu vendaval.

16 Faze-os cair na desgraça mais profunda,

até que se sujeitem ao teu nome, Senhor.

17 Sejam envergonhados e aterrorizados para sempre

e morram em desonra.

18 Então aprenderão que somente tu és chamado Senhor,

somente tu és o Altíssimo,

supremo sobre toda a terra.

13 O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.

14 As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;

15 So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.

16 Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD.

17 Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:

18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.
