2 Clamarei ao Deus do céu, que está acima de tudo, e que tudo fará por mim.

3 Ele me mandará lá do alto o seu auxílio para me salvar da má vontade dos que querem devorar-me. Deus tem, para me dar, amor e fidelidade.

4 Estou rodeado de leões ferozes, gente violenta, que tem dentes mais afiados que punhais, e cuja língua é faca cortante.

8 Desperta, minha alma. Que a harpa e a lira comecem a tocar. Eu mesmo ao romper do dia virei cantar a Deus.

9 Virei diante de toda a gente, para que todas as nações o saibam, exaltar-te-ei pelo meu canto.

10 Pois a tua misericórdia é tão grande que chega dos céus à Terra! És tão fiel e constante como todo o sistema de astros do firmamento.

11 Sim, ó Deus, que sejas por todos conhecido como aquele que é grande acima dos céus. Que a tua glória brilhe sobre toda a Terra.
