1 Praise the LORD!
Praise the LORD from the heavens!
Praise him in the heights!
2 Praise him, all his angels!
Praise him, all his army!
3 Praise him, sun and moon!
Praise him, all you shining stars!
4 Praise him, you heavens of heavens,
you waters that are above the heavens.
5 Let them praise the LORD’s name,
for he commanded, and they were created.
6 He has also established them forever and ever.
He has made a decree which will not pass away.
7 Praise the LORD from the earth,
you great sea creatures, and all depths;
8 lightning and hail, snow and clouds;
stormy wind, fulfilling his word;
9 mountains and all hills;
fruit trees and all cedars;
10 wild animals and all livestock;
small creatures and flying birds;
11 kings of the earth and all peoples;
princes and all judges of the earth;
12 both young men and maidens;
old men and children:
13 let them praise the LORD’s name,
for his name alone is exalted.
His glory is above the earth and the heavens.
14 He has lifted up the horn of his people,
the praise of all his holy ones,
even of the children of Israel, a people near to him.

2 Louvem-no todos os seus anjos! Louvem-no todos os seus exércitos celestiais!
3 Louvem-no o Sol, a Lua! Louvem-no todas as brilhantes estrelas!
4 Louvem-no o firmamento, assim como as atmosferas que estão acima da Terra!
6 E tudo passou a existir para sempre, obedecendo a leis que nunca serão alteradas!
8 O fogo e a saraiva, a neve e a bruma, as grandes ventanias que sopram segundo as suas ordens,
9 as altas montanhas e os pequenos outeiros, as árvores, na sua variedade, até as de grande porte,
10 os animais selvagens e os animais domésticos; os que rastejam e os que voam,
11 todos os governantes da Terra, com todos os seus povos, chefes de estado, e responsáveis pelo exercício da justiça entre as populações;
12 moços e moças, velhos e crianças;
13 que todos louvem o poder do nome do Senhor. Pois só ele é digno de ser exaltado acima de tudo o que existe na Terra e nos céus!
14 E também o seu povo, ele o torna grande e forte, objecto de honra de todos os que lhe são fiéis. Esse povo, que vive junto de si, o seu povo de Israel! Louvem o Senhor!
