1 Aclamem a Deus, povos de toda terra!2 Cantem louvores ao seu glorioso nome; louvem-no gloriosamente!3 Digam a Deus: "Quão temíveis são os teus feitos! Tão grande é o teu poder que os teus inimigos rastejam diante de ti!4 Toda a terra te adora e canta louvores a ti, canta louvores ao teu nome". Pausa5 Venham e vejam o que Deus tem feito; como são impressionantes as suas obras em favor dos homens!6 Ele transformou o mar em terra seca, e o povo atravessou as águas a pé; e ali nos alegramos nele.7 Ele governa para sempre com o seu poder, seus olhos vigiam as nações; que os rebeldes não se levantem contra ele! Pausa8 Bendigam o nosso Deus, ó povos, façam ressoar o som do seu louvor;9 foi ele quem preservou as nossas vidas impedindo que os nossos pés escorregassem.10 Pois tu, ó Deus, nos submeteste à prova e nos refinaste como a prata.11 Fizeste-nos cair numa armadilha e sobre nossas costas puseste fardos.12 Deixaste que os inimigos cavalgassem sobre a nossa cabeça; passamos pelo fogo e pela água, mas a um lugar de fartura nos trouxeste.13 Para o teu templo virei com holocaustos e cumprirei os meus votos para contigo,14 votos que os meus lábios fizeram e a minha boca falou quando eu estava em dificuldade.15 Oferecerei a ti animais gordos em holocausto; sacrificarei carneiros, cuja fumaça subirá a ti, e também novilhos e cabritos. Pausa16 Venham e ouçam, todos vocês que temem a Deus; vou contar-lhes o que ele fez por mim.17 A ele clamei com os lábios; com a língua o exaltei.18 Se eu acalentasse o pecado no coração, o Senhor não me ouviria;19 mas Deus me ouviu, deu atenção à oração que lhe dirigi.20 Louvado seja Deus, que não rejeitou a minha oração nem afastou de mim o seu amor!

1 Shout joyfully to God, all the earth!2 Praise the glory of his name with music. Make his praise glorious.3 Say to God: How awe-inspiring are your deeds! Your power is so great that your enemies will cringe in front of you.4 The whole earth will worship you. They will sing praises to you. They will make music to praise your name.5 Come and see the works of God, his awe-inspiring deeds for the sons of men.6 He turned the sea into dry land. They crossed the river on foot. We rejoiced because of what he did there.7 He rules forever with his might. His eyes watch the nations. Rebels will not be able to oppose him.8 Bless our God, you peoples. Make the sound of his praise heard.9 He has kept us alive and has not allowed us to fall.10 You have tested us, O God. You have refined us in the same way silver is refined.11 You have trapped us in a net. You have laid burdens on our backs.12 You let people ride over our heads. We went through fire and water, but then you brought us out and refreshed us.13 I will come into your temple with burnt offerings. I will keep my vows to you,14 the vows made by my lips and spoken by my own mouth when I was in trouble.15 I will offer you a sacrifice of fattened livestock for burnt offerings with the smoke from rams. I will offer cattle and goats.16 Come and listen, all who reverence God, and I will tell you what he has done for me.17 With my mouth I cried out to him. High praise was on my tongue.18 If I had thought about doing anything sinful, Jehovah would not have listened to me.19 But God has heard me. He paid attention to my prayer.20 Thanks be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or taken away his loving kindness from me.
