2 \75:1\To you, O God, we give praise, to you we give praise: and those who give honour to your name make clear your works of power.
3 \75:2\When the right time has come, I will be the judge in righteousness.
4 \75:3\When the earth and all its people become feeble, I am the support of its pillars. (Selah.)
5 \75:4\I say to the men of pride, Let your pride be gone: and to the sinners, Let not your horn be lifted up.
6 \75:5\Let not your horn be lifted up: let no more words of pride come from your outstretched necks.
7 \75:6\For honour does not come from the east, or from the west, or uplifting from the south;
8 \75:7\But God is the judge, putting down one, and lifting up another.
9 \75:8\For in the hand of the Lord is a cup, and the wine is red; it is well mixed, overflowing from his hand: he will make all the sinners of the earth take of it, even to the last drop.
10 \75:9\But I will ever be full of joy, making songs of praise to the God of Jacob.
11 \75:10\By him will all the horns of the sinners be cut off; but the horns of the upright will be lifted up.

2 Wir preisen dich, o Gott, wir preisen dich; und nahe ist dein Name, deine Wundertaten verkündigen es. {O. ihn; od. man erzählt deine Wundertaten}
3 "Wenn ich die Versammlung empfangen werde, {O. Wenn ich die bestimmte Zeit erreichen (W. erfassen) werde} will ich in Geradheit richten.
4 Zerschmolzen sind die Erde und alle ihre Bewohner: Ich habe ihre Säulen festgestellt." (Sela.)
5 Ich sprach zu den Übermütigen: Seid nicht übermütig! und zu den Gesetzlosen: Erhebet nicht das Horn!
6 Erhebet nicht hoch euer Horn; redet nicht Freches mit gerecktem Halse!
7 Denn nicht von Osten, noch von Westen, und nicht von Süden her {W. von der Wüste her; die Wüste liegt südlich von Palästina} kommt Erhöhung.
8 Denn Gott ist Richter; diesen erniedrigt er, und jenen erhöht er.
9 Denn ein Becher ist in der Hand Jehovas, und er schäumt von Wein, ist voll von Würzwein, und er schenkt daraus: ja, seine Hefen müssen schlürfend trinken alle Gesetzlosen der Erde.
10 Ich aber, ich will es verkünden ewiglich, will Psalmen singen dem Gott Jakobs.
11 Und alle Hörner der Gesetzlosen werde ich abhauen; es werden erhöht werden die Hörner der Gerechten.
