1 Ao mestre de canto. Cântico. Salmo. Aclamai a Deus, toda a terra,2 Cantai a glória de seu nome, rendei-lhe glorioso louvor.3 Dizei a Deus: Vossas obras são estupendas! Tal é o vosso poder que os próprios inimigos vos glorificam.4 Diante de vós se prosterne toda a terra, e cante em vossa honra a glória de vosso nome.5 Vinde contemplar as obras de Deus: ele fez maravilhas entre os filhos dos homens.6 Mudou o mar em terra firme; atravessaram o rio a pé enxuto; eis o motivo de nossa alegria.7 Domina pelo seu poder para sempre, seus olhos observam as nações pagãs; que os rebeldes não levantem a cabeça.8 Bendizei, ó povos, ao nosso Deus, publicai seus louvores.9 Foi ele quem conservou a vida de nossa alma, e não permitiu resvalassem nossos pés.10 Pois vós nos provastes, ó Deus, acrisolastes-nos como se faz com a prata.11 Deixastes-nos cair no laço, carga pesada pusestes em nossas costas.12 Submetestes-nos ao jugo dos homens, passamos pelo fogo e pela água; mas, por fim, nos destes alívio.13 É, pois, com holocaustos que entrarei em vossa casa, pagarei os votos que fiz para convosco,14 votos proferidos pelos meus lábios, quando me encontrava na tribulação.15 Oferecerei em holocausto as mais belas ovelhas, com os mais gordos carneiros; imolarei touros e cabritos.16 Vinde, ouvi vós todos que temeis ao Senhor. Eu vos narrarei quão grandes coisas Deus fez à minha alma.17 Meus lábios o invocaram, com minha língua o louvei.18 Se eu intentasse no coração o mal, não me teria ouvido o Senhor.19 Mas Deus me ouviu; atendeu a voz da minha súplica.20 Bendito seja Deus que não rejeitou a minha oração, nem retirou de mim a sua misericórdia.

Shout joyfully unto God, all ye lands:2 Sing forth the glory of his name; make glorious his praise.3 Say unto God, How fear–inspiring is every one of thy works! through the greatness of thy strength will thy enemies yield feigned obedience unto thee.4 All the lands shall bow themselves down unto thee, and shall sing praises unto thee; they shall sing praises to thy name. Selah.5 Come and see the deeds of God: fear–inspiring is his doing toward the children of men.6 He changed the sea into dry land: through the river they went on foot: there did we rejoice in him.7 He ruleth by his might for ever; his eyes look upon the nations: the rebellious––these shall not be exalted. Selah.8 Bless, O ye people, our God, and cause the voice of his praise to be heard:9 Who hath appointed our soul to life, and hath not suffered our foot to slip.10 For thou hast proved us, O God: thou hast refined us, as silver is refined.11 Thou hast brought us into the net; thou hast placed fetters upon our loins.12 Thou hast caused men to ride on our head: we entered into fire and into water; but thou broughtest us out to the enjoyment of overflowing plenty. a13 I will enter thy house with burnt–offerings: I will pay unto thee my vows,14 Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in distress.15 Burnt–offerings of fatlings will I offer up unto thee, with the incense of rams; I will prepare steers with he–goats. Selah.16 Come, hear, and I will relate, all ye that fear God, what he hath done for my soul.17 Unto him I cried with my mouth, and a song of extolling was on my tongue.18 If I had looked on wickedness with my heart, the Lord would not have heard;19 But verily God hath heard; he hath listened to the voice of my prayer.20 Blessed be God, who hath not removed my prayer from him, nor his kindness from me.
